House Greyrat

House Greyrat is a noble line in the service of the Asura Kingdom, divided into three branches: Boreas, Notos and Eura. The Boreas branch ruled the Fittoa region from the fortress-city of Roa; its head was the fearsome Sauros, while Philip ran its affairs. The Boreas are known for a peculiar fondness for beastfolk — the men of this branch gaze not at a woman's chest but at her beast ears and tail.

Rudeus's father's full name is Paul Notos Greyrat, and Rudeus himself belongs to the Notos branch, though he did not inherit a noble name. The Notos branch is tied to Asura's winemaking — the famous Notos wine bears its name.

The heart of Rudeus's family in Buena Village was his father Paul, mother Zenith, the maid (and Paul's second wife) Lilia, and his sisters Norn and Aisha. Over time the line grew: Rudeus took as wives Sylphiette, Roxy Migurdia and Eris Boreas Greyrat, and fathered children — Lucy, Lara, Ars and others.

Other branches are tied to the house too: Luke Notos Greyrat, aide to Princess Ariel, belongs to Notos, and Eris herself to Boreas. Many Greyrats share a single trait — incorrigible womanizing.
