Eris Boreas Greyrat

Eris Boreas Greyrat is the only daughter of Philip Boreas Greyrat, governor of the Fittoa fief, and Hilda Boreas Greyrat. A distant cousin of Rudeus (they share the founder of the Greyrat line); of all the heirs of the line, only she inherited the famed Boreas rage in undiluted form.

At nine she was a feral child — smashed walls, struck servants, refused to learn to read. Her grandfather Sauros hired Rudeus as private tutor precisely because Rudeus was a year older and odd enough not to run from her first tantrum. Months of joint training with Ghislaine Dedoldia changed her: she learned to read, to count, to ride out her own rages. Rudeus was her first teacher not only of letters but of feeling, and the first person she ever accepted as her equal.

Red hair, green eyes, a muscular child who grew into a tall, statuesque woman with a warrior's build. Hot-tempered, blunt to the point of cruelty, intolerant of lies; affection from her tends to look like a shoulder-check or a cuff. Behind the rough exterior lies absolute, unyielding loyalty — once she has accepted someone as "hers", she never lets go.

After the Teleportation Incident she spent three years with Rudeus and Ruijerd in the Dead End party, crossing the Demon and Millis continents. Back in Asura she and Rudeus shared a single night — and the next morning Eris, without a word, left for seven years to train under Gal Farion, the Sword God. Those seven years convinced Rudeus that she had abandoned him; they also made her the second-strongest Saint-tier blade of her generation, behind only the Sword God himself.

She returned during the war with Hitogami — a Saint of the Sword God Style, ready to fight beside Rudeus. By then Sylphi and Roxy were already his wives; after a long conversation Eris agreed to become his third. Their son Ars inherited her swordcraft; their daughter Christina inherited her red hair and thunder of a voice. For the rest of her life Eris remains the shock-troop of Rudeus's team.
