The inner demon is a corruption of the soul and a madness that gnaws at a fighter from within. A writhing dark energy tries to eat the person away, and once they give in, they rage without end and kill indiscriminately. The righteous Cheongwol secretly suffers from an inner demon, and is one day fated to succumb to it, betray her sect, and cross over to the Demonic Cult.
Nature
The inner demon feels like an alien, writhing energy that tries to eat away at its host. The deeper a person is in its grip, the closer they are to unrestrained violence. Han Seojin senses Cheongwol's demon and, passing off his torture chamber as a "place that purges inner demons," tries with strange games to tame her madness and keep her from falling to the Demonic Cult.
