Syril is a high elf and the world's only rank-six mage, the forty-four-year-old leader of Erushie. Thirty years ago he invented the Erna-gathering system, built the labyrinths, co-created the Seal of Erna with Ashuno, and co-founded the Holy Rose Knights. He is the one Souji respects and never beat in-game—the Silver Dragon of Destruction from the game's finale was him.
His magic is Reincarnation Recursion, returning to past selves. Kuuna's father, he damaged her channels to restrain her and forged Kvar Beste. He teaches Souji Spiritualization, classical magic, and smithing. In the finale he dies from the Recursion's toll, refusing godhood to pass away as a man beside his wives, his last act repairing Souji's spear as an engagement gift.
