Laura

Laura is Reina's late mother, who died shortly after childbirth, and King Ars's former fiancee. Contrary to any 'villainess' image the plot might assign her, she was no villain at all: frail and sickly, she knew she could not bear Ars an heir, and so she felt relief when the engagement was dissolved.

Laura gave her sincere love to Raivel, whom she married. Despite the mortal risk to her health, she resolved to give birth, drawing on the power of a silver bracelet—a heretical relic—and bore Reina, but died soon after.

Although that same bracelet became the gateway through which the demon-god Morrigan entered Reina, Laura's 'residual thought' preserved within the relic saved her daughter at the decisive moment with a message of a mother's love. After her death, the truth of her true feelings reconciled both Raivel and the whole family.
