The rest were all at least Tier 2 skills—more than any normal player possessed. And most of them were area-of-effect skills, which could play a massive role in group battles.
However, compared to the skills, the Purgatory Demon's level and HP were equally staggering.

For a Level 50 Great Lord monster, that might not seem like much. But for a high-intelligence, multi-skilled demon, this HP pool was already quite thick.
Moreover, the combat power of a Tier 3 demon was generally higher than that of a Great Lord of the same level. In a real fight, the Tier 3 demon would ultimately come out on top.

Stone Apes patrolled back and forth along the mountain paths in great numbers. Each patrol squad consisted of over a hundred Stone Apes, not to mention a Leader-rank Stone Ape Guard leading them.
Shi Feng had barely controlled the Purgatory Demon forward when a Stone Ape Guard spotted him. It let out a roar, and immediately, over a hundred Level 50 Elite-rank Stone Apes charged forward.
"Let's use you all to test the waters." Shi Feng smiled faintly. He devoted most of his consciousness to controlling the Purgatory Demon while trying to keep himself as far away as possible.
The three-meter-tall Purgatory Demon walking along the mountain path was like a door god. Its pitch-black battle axe swept horizontally, completely sealing off the entire path.
The Stone Apes had barely rushed to the Purgatory Demon before the massive dark axe swept across.
Instantly, the six Stone Apes at the front were sent flying, slamming hard into the cliffs on either side of the mountain path. Those Stone Apes whose bodies had been touched by the axe shattered directly, over 30,000 points of damage popping up above their heads. If it had been a player, they would have been killed instantly.
"That damage is insane." Shi Feng was startled too—he hadn't expected the Purgatory Demon's damage to be this high.
Stone Apes had higher defense than Snow Roar Lions. His normal attacks against a Snow Roar Lion only dealt around 1,200 damage. But the Purgatory Demon's single axe swing dealt over 30,000—knocking away a tenth of a Stone Ape's HP in one hit, shattering its body, inflicting a severe wound, and drastically reducing its combat power in an instant.
Over a hundred Stone Apes were nothing but toys under the Purgatory Demon's power. Getting close enough to attack Shi Feng behind it was simply impossible.
However, controlling the Purgatory Demon kept Shi Feng extremely busy. The enormous body already felt awkward to handle, let alone during combat—he simply couldn't achieve the results he wanted. He couldn't even draw out a third of the creature's true strength.
Meanwhile, the Stone Ape Guard among the horde suddenly leaped out from the crowd. Its spear thrust forward like a venomous snake's tongue, splitting into three spear shadows that stabbed straight at the Purgatory Demon.
Under normal circumstances, the Purgatory Demon could have easily dodged or blocked such an attack. But since Shi Feng couldn't bring out its full power, the blow landed clean.
