Chapter 2122: The Ancient Demon's Drops

January 17, 2020 · 4 min read · 721 words

The Lord of the Meteor crashed into the lava, and even those still standing—Huo Wu and the others—collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. Yet their eyes shone with irrepressible joy.

In the Divine Realm, the more powerful the monster slain, the better the loot.

Though they had no idea what a Legendary Ancient Demon truly represented, they knew full well how terrifying the Lord of the Meteor had been. Without question, this was the strongest boss they had ever defeated since entering the Divine Realm—not even close.

If Shi Feng hadn't pushed himself to the absolute limit at the end, cutting through the sea of fire with a single sword strike, their total annihilation would have been all but certain.

With the Lord of the Meteor's death, the surviving members of Shi Feng's party watched their experience points skyrocket. A Level 75 Ancient Demon—one whose power hadn't been sealed or stripped away—granted experience on a scale that could have been split across a hundred-man raid team with each player still receiving a hefty share. Now, with fewer than ten people dividing it, the experience per person was beyond imagination.

Huo Wu and the others leveled up on the spot, jumping from Level 70 to Level 71. Shi Feng's own level surged from 5% at Level 74 to 42%.

As everyone's experience points soared, the Starfall Secret Realm began to transform around them. The lava hellscape gradually withered into a barren wasteland. As the Lord of the Meteor disintegrated into countless fragments of stone, loot items rained down across the sky like a downpour, piling up in front of Shi Feng and his party until they formed a small hill—blindingly radiant with golden light, far exceeding anything they could have imagined.

Every pair of eyes glittered with greed.

"Alright, let's tend to the wounded first. We can divide the loot later," Shi Feng said with an amused chuckle at the way everyone stared without blinking.

The healers went to work reviving the fallen while Shi Feng began sorting through the loot.

It took him well over half an hour to go through everything. Every single item he picked up was a top-grade treasure—even Shi Feng, who had seen countless rarities, could hardly keep his emotions in check.

Only now did he understand why every major superpower in his previous life had been so eager to hunt Ancient Demons.

This loot was simply incomparable to even the largest Hell Difficulty super raids. Though the Flame King he had killed earlier was technically an Ancient Demon as well, the quest conditions meant it couldn't be considered a true Ancient Demon.

Of course, the Lord of the Meteor he had just slain wasn't a fully evolved Ancient Demon either—it was still in the process of evolving. But it was at least half a true Ancient Demon.

And the loot from this half-Ancient Demon was something Shi Feng could say with absolute certainty would drive any current superpower into a frenzy. If the major factions found out about this, they wouldn't hesitate to destroy Zero Wing at any cost.

The total number of items dropped was 247. Among them were 31 Epic-grade materials, 6 Sub-Legendary materials, 83 high-grade materials, five Seven Star Crystals totaling 14 units, 32 various rare gemstones, three Iron Rank Magic Crystal Chests, and one Mythril Rank Magic Crystal Chest.

Of the remaining magic scrolls, there were 37 in total: three Tier 4 magic scrolls, sixteen Tier 3 magic scrolls, and the rest were Tier 2.

There were eight Skill Books—seven of which were Tier 2, and one was a Tier 2 Forbidden Technique.

The weapon and equipment drops totaled 33 pieces: 21 Gold-grade pieces at Level 70, 8 Dark Gold-grade pieces at Level 70, 3 Epic-grade items, and 1 Legendary-grade fragment.

Setting aside the Level 70 Gold-grade and Dark Gold-grade equipment, the three Epic-grade items alone were enough to make even Shi Feng's heart race.

They were the Sourcefire Ring, the Unyielding War Garment, and the Phantom Leather Boots—all exceptional pieces even among Epic-grade items. The Sourcefire Ring not only greatly boosted fire resistance and the power of fire-attribute magic skills, but it also possessed a teleportation ability. While it wasn't as powerful as the Seven Star Ring's teleportation, it could still easily transport the user across a distance of 100,000 yards.
