Outside the Elemental Altar, as soon as Iron Fang finished speaking, the hundred-plus people behind him sprang into action, surrounding Shi Feng in the blink of an eye.
The front ranks consisted of Shield Warriors and Guardian Knights locking their shields tight, followed by Berserkers and Swordsmen providing support, while ranged classes held the backline. They left absolutely no gap for Shi Feng to escape through.
Even if he could break through the encirclement, the entire space had already been sealed by a magic barrier. Without shattering the magic array, there was no way to leave.
"What an impressive magic array. This level of suppression must be from a mid-tier magic array." Shi Feng glanced at his stats, then looked around at the players maintaining the formation.
Because of this array, his base attributes had dropped by 25%.
In the Divine Realm, the suppression magic arrays applied to players worked differently from the ones applied to monsters — the effect on players was far weaker, and the higher a target's tier, the weaker the suppression.
Suppressing a Tier 2 class's base attributes by 25% required at least a mid-tier magic array.
"You guessed correctly. It is indeed a mid-tier magic array — Earth's Wind. Even a Legendary-tier monster would need some time to destroy it. Within this array, you cannot use any teleportation magic or items," Iron Fang sneered. "This array was prepared especially for you. I trust you're satisfied?"
The mid-tier magic array Earth's Wind was one of only a handful of mid-tier arrays in their entire Sin Domain. It had originally been designed to deal with extremely powerful world bosses.
Now, in order to secure Shi Feng's defeat and put Zero Wing Guild in its place, the Guild Master had authorized them to bring it out.
"You don't really think Sin Domain can get by with just a single mid-tier magic array, do you?" Shi Feng said flatly, surveying the several hundred Sin Domain members present.
Among them, only forty or fifty were Tier 2 experts, with the rest at Tier 1. The strongest among them was Iron Fang himself — but Iron Fang was merely a Level 59 Tier 2 Shield Warrior, and in terms of combat skill, he was somewhat inferior to Broken Crocodile. Average Insight-level at best.
A team like this would struggle even in a head-on fight against a true top-tier expert. After all, top-tier experts' base attributes were already so powerful that even after a 25% reduction they would still surpass ordinary Tier 2 experts. Killing regular Tier 2 experts would be child's play — it would just take a bit more time.
"A mid-tier magic array and these ordinary experts wouldn't be enough on their own," Iron Fang said, watching Shi Feng with a grin. "But what if these experts were carrying Berserk Blood Potions?"
Under this array's suppression, a Tier 2 class lost a quarter of its base attributes. That meant a top-tier expert could still casually slaughter ordinary experts, and a hundred-man expert squad still wouldn't stand a chance — unless several, even a dozen, Insight-level experts joined forces.
Sin Domain didn't have a dozen Insight-level experts, but they did possess the exceedingly rare Berserk Blood Potion.
This potion came from a recipe that Sin Domain had gone to great lengths to obtain. Upon drinking it, a player's total attributes instantly increased by 1,200 points — and those 1,200 points counted as base attributes, meaning equipment bonuses would push the effective gains even higher. The effect lasted 20 seconds, with a five-minute cooldown.
A regular Tier 2 expert who chugged one of these would instantly possess combat power rivaling — even exceeding — current top-tier experts.
Of course, while Berserk Blood Potions were incredibly potent, the materials required were extremely precious and rare, and even a high-tier alchemist's success rate in crafting them was low. To deal with Shi Feng, Iron Fang had specifically requisitioned four bottles from the guild.
Four top-tier experts' worth of power, combined with a mid-tier magic array's sealing and suppression — even a peak expert from a superpower would fall. Never mind a single Shi Feng.
With that, three Tier 2 experts from Sin Domain pulled out their Berserk Blood Potions and downed them in one gulp. In an instant, the aura of all three surged several times over, each one radiating the presence of a human-shaped monster.
