As Ouyang Mingchang had said, numerous powers were currently observing the changes in the Primordial Killing Sea.
…
Within the Seven Realms Sacred Palace, there was an observation formation capable of targeting any area for surveillance. The direction it currently pointed was none other than the Primordial Killing Sea.
Atop the formation platform stood a group of extraordinary elders. The lowest among them held the status of Sacred Elder, and among them was the Lord of the Spirit Clan from the Spirit Clan lineage of the Seven Realms Sacred Palace.
Compared to the past, these figures were now far more confident.
That was all thanks to their Palace Master, Jie Tianran. Jie Tianran had been able to help the Sect Master of the Celestial Firmament Immortal Sect and the Palace Master of the Divine Body Heavenly Palace break through to the Heavenly God realm. He naturally would not forget his own people. Now, every single one of them had experienced some measure of improvement.
But at this moment, all eyes were fixed on the mirror at the center of the platform — a mirror that stood a thousand meters tall. The image reflected within it was the stone stele of the Primordial Killing Sea.
"The Immortal Sea Fish Clan was indeed feigning death."
"How should we handle this matter?"
"Perhaps we should go take a look and capture that Chu Feng while we're at it."
Several Sacred Elders discussed amongst themselves. Having recently gained an increase in cultivation, they had yet to demonstrate their new strength and were long eager to show what they could do.
But the Lord of the Spirit Clan shook his head. "Setting aside whether we can even capture Chu Feng — the Palace Master gave strict orders that before his return, regardless of any changes or upheavals in the Martial Cultivation World, no one is to leave the Seven Realms Sacred Palace."
Upon hearing this, the elders all voiced their agreement.
They wanted to earn merit, certainly. But disobeying the Palace Master's orders would constitute a grave offense. Moreover, as long as they remained within the Seven Realms Sacred Palace, they were at least guaranteed safety.
…
In the vast Martial Cultivation World, deep within an ancient ruin, numerous ancient formations had all been broken through.
Following the passage deeper into the ruin, one could find a figure clad in white robes — Jie Mubai.
Jie Mubai held a burning talisman paper in his hand, his gaze vacant and eerie. He was staring at the ground nearby, but in truth his gaze pierced through the earth, traversed the starry void, and locked onto the Primordial Killing Sea.
"Master, could there be treasure buried beneath this?"
An elder in golden robes approached from behind Jie Mubai. It was Zhao Daobin, the elder of the Zhao Immortal Clan.
"The location of the Primordial Killing Sea — take a look for yourself."
Jie Mubai produced another talisman paper with his other hand and passed it behind him.
"Oh?"
Zhao Daobin did not take it. Instead, his palm swept across his Universe Bag, and a golden pill appeared. He crushed the pill, transforming it into a wisp of golden mist. Closing his eyes, he inhaled sharply, and the golden mist surged entirely into his nostrils.
When he opened his eyes once more, golden light overflowed from them. Before long, his gaze too pierced through the endless starry void, reaching all the way to the Primordial Killing Sea.
"So it's that so-called Killing Sea."
"Chu Feng? Is that the same Chu Feng who defeated the young master of the Prison Sect some time ago?" Zhao Daobin asked.
"Which other Chu Feng could cause such an enormous stir?" Jie Mubai replied.
"This ruin yielded limited rewards."
"But if we could capture that Chu Feng and strip him of his Origin of the Vein, that would be an unparalleled merit," Zhao Daobin said.
At that moment, the talisman in Jie Mubai's palm burned away completely, and his gaze returned to normal. Only then did he glance sideways at Zhao Daobin. "What, you want to go?"
"What does the Master think?" Zhao Daobin looked at Jie Mubai.
"If we capture Chu Feng, we split the gains evenly."
When Jie Mubai said these words, Zhao Daobin's eyes narrowed slightly. "I wonder, Master — how exactly do you propose we split them?"
"I don't want the Origin of the Vein. I want the Royal Bloodline," Jie Mubai said.
