Chapter 21: He Must Die!

January 17, 2020 · 6 min read · 1,266 words

"You're deceiving me!" Sekra stared hard at his wife. "The child in your belly— it belongs to someone else." Sekra had been deeply doting on his wife. The reason he'd gone to Freedom Castle in the first place was to buy her clothes. But who could have imagined that his wife had another man on the side?

And the child in her belly belonged to someone else!

The Bloodmark Titan Family was an incredibly powerful clan in Hell, commanding terrifying influence. On the surface, Miluo Island was managed by five great families, but in truth, the other four were nothing more than vassal families of the Baggio Family!

The Baggio Family was the Bloodmark Titan clan—this was a secret known to very few.

At the very least, Sexili didn't know about it. Otherwise, she would never have excitedly run over to announce to her husband that she was carrying his child.

"No, I'm not!" Sexili shook her head frantically.

"This woman still won't admit it," growled the clan leader Bockwey from the side. "Son, this is a disgrace to our family. If she refuses to confess, just destroy the entire Gerold branch she belongs to!"

Sexili trembled.

The Gerold Family, one of the five great families, was vast, with many branches. Destroying a single branch would be nothing more than a word's work for the true rulers of Miluo Island—the Baggio Family.

"Speak!" Sekra looked at his wife with cold eyes.

Sekra was extremely vain, and he took immense pride in being of the Bloodmark Titan bloodline. He was the clan leader's own son, part of the most privileged direct line—the most noble of all. He was supremely arrogant. Now, to learn that his wife was carrying another man's child? He was already driven half-mad with rage!

His face had turned a sickly shade of purple!

"Speak now!" Sekra kicked Sexili hard, sending her crashing into the ornamental rock formation beside them. "Otherwise, you and your entire branch family will all die!" His voice was wild with fury.

"I'll talk, I'll talk!" Sexili blurted out. She was practically going insane herself.

The truth was, she didn't even know whose child she was carrying. During that period, she had been seeing two men at the same time—one was Sekra, and the other was Hise. She had slept with both of them. She genuinely didn't know whose child it was.

Originally, Sexili had figured that since she didn't know either way, she might as well claim it was Sekra's. The other party wouldn't be able to tell the difference, after all.

Unfortunately, she hadn't known that the Baggio Family was the Bloodmark Titan clan!

"I don't know whose child it is myself," Sexili said, seeing Sekra about to erupt. "But I'm certain—if it's not yours, then it's Hise's!"

"Hise?"

Sekra froze for a moment, then threw his head back and burst into manic laughter. "Hahahaha…" The laughter was laced with madness. A faint blood-red glow emanated from his body. He, Sekra, the favored son of heaven, had never been subjected to such a humiliating insult.

Was there anything more shameful than having his woman carry another man's child?

"Hise—I want him dead!!!" Sekra snarled, a bloody light flickering in his eyes, like a crazed wolf about to tear into its prey.

Talosha's residence. Over the past few days, Lin Lei had been living here very comfortably. Every day he went to watch Luomiu's ten battles, and he could chat with his old friends. As for Aiqi, Beici, and the rest, they had long since left Miluo Island.

"That Luomiu really is powerful." Pushing open the courtyard gate, Lin Lei and his group walked inside while still discussing the fights. "That single slash—absolutely unmatched. It cleaved his opponent clean in half."

"He excels in both physical attacks and soul attacks," Talosha praised.

Olivier added, "Especially that speed—it's astonishingly fast. Luomiu is just too strong. Every fight looks effortless. So far, no one has been able to exchange even two or three blows with him. They're all defeated in a single move."

Lin Lei recalled the scene in the fighting arena and felt a similar sense of astonishment.

Luomiu in the arena was supremely arrogant, completely dismissing everyone else—but he had the strength to back it up!

"Lin Lei, you're back." Di Lin descended with a smile from the upper floor. Lin Lei and the others walked over to meet him. "Di Lin, where's Hise?"

"Hise?" Di Lin frowned and lowered his voice. "He's sleeping!"

"Sleeping?"

Divine-level powerhouses had no need for sleep, and Hise rarely slept in the past. But ever since his relationship with Sexili fell apart, Hise had fallen into a deep depression and had taken to sleeping lazily all the time.

Talosha shook his head and sighed. "Don't disturb him. Just let him sleep."

While Lin Lei and the others gathered together, chatting and laughing, the Baggio Family's young master Sekra was leaving the family estate with a dark expression, accompanied by three black-armored warriors. These three black-armored warriors were the Baggio Family's true elite guards.

"This Hise—he still dares to stay at the Island Guardian Warriors' residence!" Sekra grew even more furious.

The man who had an affair with his wife, and he was still living on his own territory!

"Move!" Sekra shot into the sky, flying at top speed toward the Island Guardian Warriors' residential area. The three black-armored warriors followed silently behind him.

Before long, Sekra arrived at the Island Guardian Warriors' area. The patrolling warriors immediately came over. When they saw the four figures approaching, they were visibly alarmed—especially upon noticing the three black-armored warriors. Those silent figures stood like three icebergs.

Though silent, they gave off an oppressive pressure that made it hard to breathe.

"Go—summon a thousand-man squad right away!" Sekra flipped his hand, revealing the Blood-colored Miluo Token.

"The Blood-colored Miluo Token!" The patrol squad cried out in alarm, then hastily replied, "Yes, my lord." They were puzzled inwardly—what did he need a thousand-man squad for? But anyone who possessed the Blood-colored Miluo Token could easily mobilize a thousand men.

Soon, a full thousand-man squad assembled.

"Young Master Sekra." The squad's commander recognized him at a glance. "What's this about—?"

"Don't ask. Follow me!" Sekra said coldly.

The commander was startled. He noticed that Sekra's expression was wrong today. In the past, Sekra would at least exchange pleasantries. But today his face was far too grim, and the aura he emitted made one feel genuinely endangered!

"Whoosh!"

Sekra flew ahead through the air, the three black-armored warriors in tow. Behind them came a thousand Island Guardian Warriors in imposing formation.

"Number 306!" Sekra still remembered the dormitory number his wife had mentioned for Hise's residence. Among the Island Guardian Warriors, regular soldiers were assigned much higher numbers. The number 306 was exceptionally low, typically reserved for special individuals.

Like upper-stage gods with a hundred consecutive victories.

Talosha's residence. Lin Lei and his group sat together in a circle.

"Talosha, are you really not willing to leave with us?" Lin Lei asked once more. "Hise has already agreed to come along."

No matter what, Miluo Island was not Talosha and the others' true home.

And the Azure Blue Mansion did have its own Four Divine Beast families. Lin Lei wanted the whole group to be together. Hise was willing to leave, while O'Brien had chosen to follow Talosha—back then, Talosha had given him a mid-stage godhead in exchange for a promise.

"No. We don't want to leave this place," Talosha said with a shake of his head and a smile.
