Berute continued, "In the Gebada Planar Prison, ninety-nine percent of the powerhouses die from the perilous environment and the constant slaughter. And yet, even so, the number of powerhouses in the Gebada Planar Prison remains staggering. Every single one of those powerhouses shares one wish!"

"To leave the Planar Prison!" Berute declared solemnly.

"In a Material Plane, once you reach the Saint Realm, you earn the right to leave the Material Plane and journey to the Higher Planes or the Divine Planes. But in the Planar Prison, even if you reach the Highgod level, you have no right to leave." Berute sighed.

Lin Lei, Desley, and Oliveria all recalled the scene from moments ago, after the Bosha Embankment had been cleaved apart.

"We're back!"

"We're finally back!!!"

Those wild, frenzied cries of elation still echoed in their ears. From those voices alone, Lin Lei and the others had fully sensed the exhilaration and thrill of the powerhouses who had broken free from the Planar Prison.

"Once you're imprisoned, are you trapped forever?" Lin Lei asked.

"Of course not." Berute shook his head. "There are three methods to escape from the Gebada Planar Prison. Moreover, by rule, once they escape, even the Planar Overseer has no authority to imprison them again."

"Three methods?" Lin Lei was somewhat surprised.

That kind of place — not only could one escape, there were actually three ways to do so!

"The first method is to cultivate to the Highgod level, then tear open a spatial rift within the prison plane and charge directly into the Spatial Storms. It's a gamble. A Highgod can survive in the Spatial Storms for a relatively long time. If fortune smiles, you might drift to another plane. If not, you die in the storms."

Lin Lei's heart shuddered.

Cultivate to the Highgod level, then gamble with the Spatial Storms?

The Spatial Storms — that was the most dangerous place of all. Going there was nothing short of suicide.

"Naturally, this first method, though straightforward, is one that few dare attempt." Berute continued. "The second method — because the Yulan Continent plane and the prison plane are two sides of the same coin, they are connected only at the Spatial Gate. But there are several other places where the two planes' spaces touch."

"Where two planes' spaces overlap is called a Spatial Weakness Point!"

Berute smiled. "Think of it as two sheets of paper layered on top of each other. If a powerhouse in the prison plane tears through from that location, they can establish a temporary passage. They can rush through in an instant, and the passage will close just as quickly."

"That's how Dillin, Beaumont, and the other powerhouses who have appeared on the Yulan Continent in recent years all made their way here."

Lin Lei understood.

"Actually, every Spatial Weakness Point has been sealed — it's not easy to break through." Berute sighed. "The Gebada Planar Prison and our Yulan Continent plane share a total of nine Spatial Weakness Points, and all nine have been sealed. But Lin Lei..."

Berute looked at Lin Lei. "When you were young and entered the Magic Beast Mountain Range, didn't you pull out a sword?"

Lin Lei immediately recalled that scene in the Valley of Mist from years past. There, he had awakened the Dragon Blood Warrior bloodline within him and discovered the Purple Blood Soft Sword. And when Grandpa Derin had seen the colossal magic formation into which the Purple Blood Soft Sword had been thrust, he had been equally stunned.

That magic formation had been far more powerful than even a Saint-level magic formation.

"Lord Berute, you mean...?" Lin Lei's eyes went wide with shock.

Berute nodded. "That's right. When you pulled out that sword, the magic formation centered on the Purple Blood Divine Sword was naturally broken. The prison plane has a large population, and there were naturally people near the Spatial Weakness Point. Dillin happened to be nearby — he was the only god-level being closest to the point, so he was naturally the first to discover it, and he made his way to the Yulan Continent."

"It was me. It was actually me!!!"

Lin Lei's mind fell into chaos.

The Day of Destruction — tracing it back to its very origin, it was because he had pulled out the Purple Blood Soft Sword all those years ago. And now, the influx of otherplane powerhouses descending upon the world was also connected to him.

Deep down, he was beginning to understand why Dillin's children — the three-headed, six-eyed Golden Ni — had once expressed their gratitude to him.

"These Spatial Weakness Points are difficult to detect. It was only later that people gradually began escaping through them to the Yulan Continent." Berute sighed. "I wasn't in any hurry to reseal them either. I simply thought — let those pitiful souls trapped in the Gebada Planar Prison have the occasional chance to slip out."

Berute was beyond the reach of cold at such heights.

On a place like the Yulan Continent, who could possibly be his match? Upon discovering that Lin Lei had inadvertently broken the sealing formation, Berute had simply watched the spectacle unfold, curious to see how many would manage to escape.

"The first method is suicide, and the second is pure luck." All three felt a pang of pity for those imprisoned in the Planar Prison.

"What about the third method?" Lin Lei pressed.

Berute instead glanced at Oliveria. "The third method is this: when the population in the Planar Prison gets too high, the Planar Overseer will occasionally destroy the sealing formation, open the Spatial Gate, let a handful of people out, then close the gate and repair the seal — just like what was done earlier. But such an event only occurs once in untold billions of years."

Lin Lei, Oliveria, and Desley all felt a wave of relief.

Since even the great figures occasionally proactively opened the Spatial Gate, it seemed Oliveria's action this time didn't count as such a grave offense after all.

It was merely an early opening.

"The ones who escaped should be thanking you," Berute said coldly, looking at Oliveria.

Oliveria remained silent.

"Had it been a deliberate opening, the Spatial Gate would certainly have been surrounded. At the very least, I would have known exactly who came out — not a single one would have slipped away." Berute shot Oliveria a cold look. "Lowgods and Demigods are manageable — I can sense them with my divine consciousness. But if some shockingly powerful Highgod were to conceal themselves and evade my divine sense, that wouldn't be difficult at all. And then things would become rather troublesome."

Berute feared neither Lowgods nor Demigods causing trouble.

What he feared was the destruction wrought by Highgods!

"In such a short time, is it likely that a Highgod just happened to be on the other side of the Spatial Gate?" Lin Lei said. "It probably wasn't that coincidental."

"Forget it — I can't be bothered to deal with it anyway." Berute snorted coldly. "When O'Brien, Kathleen, and the rest come back, let them figure out how to clean up this mess. The three of you — listen carefully. Be on your guard. At the Deity level, there are plenty of people on the Yulan Continent right now who could kill you!"

Lin Lei and the others could only listen in silence.
