Slave Crest

The slave crest is the mark by which a purchased slave is bound to a master. It underpins the slaveholding order of the series' world, where slave traders are organized into companies and, on summons, deliver living wares to the estates of the nobility. It is through the transfer of rights, handled by the trader, that the slave Eve passes into Wilk's ownership.
