House Quordenze is a marquis house holding one of the greatest strengths in the Kingdom of Levios; it is Wilk's family. The house is wealthy, its base the fortress city of Newnelly with a castle at its center, and the castle is staffed by a great many servants. The servants split between those with no fixed master who run the general household and the personal servants of a particular family member.
The house wages drawn-out wars of its own will against the neighboring Jinkaen Empire. The former head — Wilk's grandfather — has not retired but personally leads wars of conquest, including the Northern Great Expedition. The current head is Wilk's father, Marquis Quordenze. During the campaign against the empire the house captures the merchant city of Nanbonan and installs its administration there. As eldest son, Wilk is the presumed next head of the house.
