Descripción
The Seoul Station Field was a high-rank Gate that materialized near Seoul Station, revealing a vast multi-level dungeon crawling with demons. Unlike common Gates, this one contained an entire demonic ecosystem, including demon nobles and legions loyal to the Demon Monarch, making it an unprecedented threat to South Korea.
Due to its extreme danger, the Gate was avoided by other Hunters. However, Sung Jin-Woo — the lone Player with the ability to grow — received a quest from the System to enter the dungeon and harvest demon souls to craft the Elixir of Life for his ailing mother. He ventured in alone, turning the perilous field into his personal leveling ground.
Within the dungeon, Jin-Woo clashed with various demon species, including the giant Vulcan and the arachnid Grave Spider Arachne. On the 50th floor he met Esil Radiru, a demon noble from the Radiru clan, who initially opposed him but later formed a temporary alliance. Through her, he learned about the Demon Monarch Baran and the structure of the demon realm.
Eventually Jin-Woo reached the 100th floor and confronted Baran himself. After an exhausting battle he emerged victorious, securing the core ingredients for the Elixir. This feat not only gave him the means to save his mother but also skyrocketed his level, bringing him tantalizingly close to the peak of S-rank.
The Seoul Station Field incident is regarded as a pivotal arc in Solo Leveling, cementing Jin-Woo’s growth and his eventual ascension as the Shadow Monarch. The dungeon’s demonic forces would later feed his shadow army, underscoring the lasting impact of this Gate on the story.
