'The otome game' is the dating-sim Marie forced Leon to clear in their past life, set on a sky-continent kingdom with five male capture targets, a commoner heroine and a 'villainess' duchess fiancée. The world Leon was reborn into is its setting in extraordinarily literal detail: same names, same academy, same political beats, same engagement-breaking ball.
Leon and Marie both know its plot. He uses that foreknowledge to derail every route; she uses it to seize each route for herself. The collision of their two playthroughs defines the early arcs.
The series treats the otome game as both narrative scaffolding and a target. It supplies the kingdom's social rules — and Leon spends the back half of the story dismantling them.
