Sacred Valley

Sacred Valley is the isolated mountain homeland where Cradle begins — a forgotten, forbidden region on the far outskirts of the Blackflame Empire, ringed by four holy peaks: Mount Samara, Mount Venture, Yoma Mountain and the Greatfather. Its roughly one million inhabitants are divided among three clans, the Wei, the Li and the Kazan.

Cut off from the wider world, the people of Sacred Valley have all but forgotten the empire beyond and vastly overrate their own strength, treating ranks like Jade and Gold as the pinnacle of achievement when they are only the first rungs of Cradle's true ladder. Lindon is born here, into the Shi Family of the Wei Clan.

The valley sits atop an immense ancient Labyrinth that stretches for thousands of miles underground, sealed off by decree of the Monarch Akura Malice because of the forbidden knowledge — and worse — buried within it. What begins as a humble backwater is gradually revealed to hold secrets central to the fate of all Cradle.
