Holy War

Holy War (seisen) is the highest expression of the Zairant theocracy's holy magic. This religious state, hostile to other races (elves and dwarves) and holding heretic magic to be absolute evil, declares Holy War to combat them.

In the story's finale the 'saint' Miria performed the supreme rite of the creator-god's descent (sousei-shin kourin), replacing the required sacrifice with power drawn from the World Tree and Amon. She thereby 'deceived the god' and paralyzed the theocracy's Holy War without a single sacrifice, for which she was recognized as the 'greatest saint.'
