“Ha ha, old man, what’s there to brag about?” Bei Bei burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.
The three subordinates of the Heavenly Mountain Mansion Lord, Moerde, also turned their heads in stunned silence, looking at the human-shaped hole in the distant cliff face. Their lord had been knocked flying in an instant?
“Boom~~” The cliff face trembled, loose rocks tumbled down, and a figure shot out of the human-shaped hole, landing on the valley floor.
Moerde was completely unharmed. His gaze hardened as it locked onto Lin Lei, and he said in a low voice, “I haven’t even come for you yet, and you launch a sneak attack? Hmph… Your speed is decent. But your strength is still a bit weak.”
Weak?
Lin Lei knew Moerde was bluffing, because the Chief God Artifact this Moerde possessed was a physical defense Chief God Artifact. Lin Lei’s kick naturally couldn’t kill him.
And Moerde knew Lin Lei’s attack was powerful, but he assumed Lin Lei had only succeeded because of a sneak attack. He didn’t believe Lin Lei was much stronger than him. Even if he was a little stronger, it didn’t matter, because Moerde had that miraculous armband. This armband gave him boundless confidence.
“Let’s not waste any more time. Make your move,” Lin Lei said, still with a faint smile, showing no signs of tension or wariness.
Moerde’s brow furrowed, his eyebrows stood on end, and he sneered, “Since you’re looking for death, then I’ll grant your wish.”
“Boom!” A black halo erupted from Moerde’s body—it was the Destruction Chief God’s Power! Using the Chief God’s Power, Moerde felt the immense strength coursing within him, boosting his confidence even further. With a confident sneer, his figure moved abruptly.
Like black lightning—
“Ha!” Moerde’s right leg slashed down toward Lin Lei like a giant axe.
“Ssss~~” Space was torn apart by this leg. Where Moerde’s long leg passed, a terrifying spatial rift was revealed. Possessing a physical defense Chief God Artifact, every part of Moerde’s body could serve as a weapon.
Lin Lei, however, smiled faintly, his figure moving forward like a dream.
“Die!” Moerde’s leg shadow pierced right through Lin Lei’s body. The moment it passed through, Moerde’s expression changed drastically. “No, that’s not his body!” Moerde guessed correctly—it was merely an afterimage left by Lin Lei at extreme speed.
Lin Lei’s real body appeared behind Moerde.
Lin Lei’s hand shot out, fingers curled into a claw, directly grabbing Moerde’s left leg.
“No!” Moerde felt a terrifying force clamp around his left ankle, and his face changed again.
“Too slow!” Lin Lei’s voice echoed through the valley. As the voice rang out, Lin Lei gripped Moerde’s left leg and swung him like a whip, slamming him repeatedly and fiercely into the ground.
“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!”…
The valley floor cracked open, forming a huge crater. The immense impact instantly pulverized the top ten meters of rock, and further down, deep trenches were torn open. A terrifying, massive crater was created in an instant.
“How can this be…” Being slammed repeatedly like lightning, with Lin Lei’s full force unleashed, left Moerde dizzy.
In an instant, Lin Lei had slammed Moerde over a hundred times, then finally flung him sideways like a stone from a catapult. Moerde was hurled into the cliff face, creating another massive human-shaped hole.
The three men—the white-browed man and his companions—stared dumbfounded at the scene.
“Uncle Lin Lei is so powerful,” Dai Ya said, her eyes shining.
“Truly terrifyingly strong,” Olivier agreed, his gaze bright with fervor. He too pursued the peak of cultivation, and witnessing Lin Lei’s displayed strength left him awed and shaken.
“That Moerde guy, I just wonder what he was thinking, daring to fight my boss like this? Sure, the boss hasn’t shown much of his real strength, but just based on his speed, Moerde should have known to back off,” Bei Bei muttered. “It’s just a physical defense Chief God Artifact. What’s there to be smug about?”
Bei Bei didn’t understand why Moerde hadn’t retreated.
“Bastard!” An enraged roar erupted from within the cliff face. “Boom!” Moerde burst out once more. The brutal slams had fueled his fury to the extreme. His eyes red, he glared at Lin Lei and growled, “You brat, all you can rely on is speed? Hmph. Your little bit of attack power can’t hurt me at all!”
Moerde was getting desperate, but he still believed… Lin Lei was merely relying on his superior speed. His attack power might not be any stronger.
“Oh?” Lin Lei’s expression turned cold. “Since you’re looking for death, don’t blame me.”
Having reached his current level, Lin Lei rarely went for the kill against ordinary commanders. Because… for him, facing a commander was indeed bullying—it was a slaughter! Lin Lei had originally intended to teach Moerde a lesson and send him packing, but this Moerde seemed so confident that Lin Lei’s patience finally snapped.
“Ha ha… If you have the skill, go ahead and kill me!” Moerde laughed wildly, then kicked off the ground and charged toward Lin Lei like a mountain.
Moerde’s right fist, like a sword, instantly crossed the distance through space, stabbing toward Lin Lei.
“Pa!” Lin Lei’s fist shot out like lightning.
Fist met fist!
Moerde was sent flying back. After landing, he stared at Lin Lei in disbelief. “You… how… you didn’t even use Chief God’s Power, so how did you block my punch?” Moerde was confident in his own strength, and he had used the Chief God’s Power, yet he was knocked back by Lin Lei’s bare fist.
“Your punch? Compared to Hermes’, it’s not even close,” Lin Lei said coolly.
“Hermes?” Moerde frowned, then seemed to recall something, before sneering again. “Your strength is decent, then. Let’s try my soul attack next.”
Moerde’s expression grew solemn, and then he opened his mouth—
“Xiu!” An invisible, wind-blade-shaped ripple shot toward Lin Lei at high speed.
“Die!” Lin Lei showed no more mercy. He gave a low shout.
An invisible sword wave, as long as an ordinary longsword, shot from Lin Lei’s body, colliding with the invisible wind blade. “Bang!” With overwhelming force, the wind blade disintegrated into nothingness, while Lin Lei’s “Invisible Sword Wave” only reduced slightly in size.
