Chapter 11: Lord of the Tianshan Mansion

The black sword-shaped metal lifeform soared through the skies of Hell.

Inside the metal lifeform, Lin Lei and the other four sat around a table.

"Lin Lei, Dana and I being together again is all thanks to your help. Thank you." Olivia raised his wine cup and drained it in one gulp.

"Haha..." Bei Bei burst out laughing beside him. "Olivia, on the road to the Tianshan Mansion, I never once saw you truly smile like this. Even when you did smile, it looked forced. But look at you now — your eyes are squinting with joy." Bei Bei teased him deliberately.

But Olivia just smiled and glanced over at Dana beside him. The husband and wife exchanged a look, full of sweetness.

Lin Lei couldn't help but grin at the sight, but then suddenly his brow furrowed.

"Annoying!" Bei Bei grumbled discontentedly.

Olivia, who was in high spirits, laughed it off. "Don't worry about it. This metal lifeform is flying through Hell's skies, and there are countless bandits and robbers everywhere. It's perfectly normal for them to probe with divine sense. It's irritating, of course, but there's nothing to be done about it. What, are we going to hunt down every last one of them?"

A moment earlier, a sweep of divine sense had passed over the metal lifeform.

Countless bandits prowled Hell, and while this happened all the time, having someone probe you still left an unpleasant taste.

"Hmph, those bandits only dare to probe. Once they detect a Highgod, they won't dare cause trouble," Bei Bei said disdainfully.

"Olivia," Lin Lei said, "how much farther is it to the place you mentioned?" This detour was to visit the place where Olivia's eldest son, Leia, had died. His son had perished there, and Dana had never once been to the spot. How could she ever find peace of mind without going?

Olivia sighed. "Not far now. At the speed you're controlling this metal lifeform, Lin Lei, it should only take another five or six days. Lin Lei... when we're getting close, you'll need to slow down. I'll have to look around carefully to pinpoint the exact location. After all, it's tucked away in a mountain valley."

"Don't worry. When we were heading to the Tianshan Mansion, we were in a rush. Now that we're heading back, there's no need to hurry," Lin Lei said with a calm smile.

They had originally intended to head to the Divine Light World, but after receiving word from one of Beirut's messengers, Lin Lei had temporarily set that plan aside.

In the vast, boundless mountain range, two figures stood atop a peak.

"A black sword-shaped metal lifeform. Five people inside, one of them a Saint-level. That's the one that just passed by." A golden-haired young man gazed into the distance where the metal lifeform had vanished. Beside him, a bald youth grinned. "This matches perfectly with the intelligence relayed earlier. But that metal lifeform is really fast. We first detected them tens of millions of miles away, and in just over two days, they've covered that gap — averaging over ten million miles a day."

That speed was staggering.

An ordinary metal lifeform would be lucky to cover a million miles a day.

What they didn't know was that this pace of ten million-plus miles daily was without Lin Lei going all out. And his metal lifeform was only an ordinary model, not even a high-grade one.

"To reach such speed, the metal lifeform must be of extremely high grade. And whoever is controlling it must be tremendously powerful," the intelligence operatives concluded.

The moment Lin Lei's location was spotted, the information was relayed immediately to headquarters.

Headquarters, in turn, forwarded it to every branch.

Lin Lei and his companions were being tracked without exception.

A curved black metal lifeform hovered above the mountain range.

Inside the metal lifeform.

The Tianshan Mansion Lord, a man with long black hair, stood at the front. Through the transparent metal hull, he gazed ahead. Three men stood respectfully behind him, among them the white-browed man.

"Hmm? Based on your calculations, weren't they supposed to pass through here?" the Tianshan Mansion Lord said coldly.

Behind him, the silver-haired elder bowed. "Mansion Lord, based on the route the party has been taking, they should indeed pass through here. Moreover, not long ago, our operatives relayed word that the metal lifeform was heading in this very direction."

"But I don't see them." The Tianshan Mansion Lord turned his head to glance at the elder.

The silver-haired elder shuddered and quickly said, "Please rest assured, Mansion Lord. Even if they've changed course to take a different route, with our extensive network of operatives, we will certainly locate them."

"Mansion Lord." The white-browed man suddenly spoke up.

The Tianshan Mansion Lord glanced at him. The white-browed man immediately bowed. "Mansion Lord, something has just occurred to me."

"Speak," the Tianshan Mansion Lord said flatly.

"Mansion Lord... when Young Master Bonin arranged for people to pursue and kill Olivia and his two children, the warriors sent intercepted Olivia roughly several hundred thousand miles from here. In that battle, all the warriors were killed. However, they did manage to kill one of Olivia's children. Now that Dana and Olivia have reunited — and Dana never went to visit the place where her son died — I wonder... might she want to go?" the white-browed man said.

In truth, back when Lin Lei, Olivia, and the others had killed Bonin, Dana had mentioned to Olivia that she wanted to visit the place where her son had perished.

Though the white-browed man and the other guards had been some distance away from Dana, they had faintly overheard the conversation.

But the white-browed man understood — if he had volunteered this information from the start and they had gone to stake out that location, and something had changed the plans midway so that no one showed up, the Mansion Lord would likely have killed him in a fit of rage.

But by bringing it up now, he actually earned merit.

For the sake of keeping his own head, this was the only choice he had.

"Oh?" The Tianshan Mansion Lord's interest was immediately piqued. It made sense — when a son dies, the mother would naturally want to visit the spot. Perfectly reasonable.

"Very good." The Tianshan Mansion Lord gave the white-browed man a slight nod. "We'll head to the place where Dana's son died right now."

"Allow me to guide the way," the white-browed man said respectfully.

"Mm."
