A dozen Wingdrakes, each several times larger than a Griffin, rapidly gave chase. Lin Lei immediately pushed the Ring to its limit, striving to reach maximum ascent speed, while his lips began silently reciting the incantation for the 'Earth Guardian Holy Armor'.

"Whoosh!"

Only the sound of rushing wind remained as Lin Lei left the Greenstriped Python far behind. But the Wingdrakes' speed was terrifying, and the distance between them kept shrinking. Just as Lin Lei reached the cliff face above the gorge, the dozen Wingdrakes plunged straight through, continuing their relentless pursuit.

Lin Lei frantically leaped and dodged through the dense forest, but how could his two legs ever match the flight speed of Wingdrakes?

"Keee-aaaa!" The piercing cries of the Wingdrakes rang out.

The Wingdrakes' wings spanned over twenty meters. With a dozen of them spreading their wings, they seemed to cover the entire sky above Lin Lei's head. He felt the world around him plunge into shadow. The dozen Wingdrakes immediately dove downwards, and from their mouths erupted searing flames. In an instant, the surrounding trees erupted into a raging inferno.

The 'Earth Guardian Holy Armor' swirling around Lin Lei's body activated, protecting every part of him.

"Ssss-sss!" The flames licked at his surface. The earthen-yellow light of the rock-like Earth Guardian Holy Armor flowed across its surface.

Among the dragonkind, Wingdrakes and Earthdrakes were considered the lowest tier. Yet even the weakest dragon was a sixth-level magical beast. Earthdrakes and Wingdrakes, in particular, were pack hunters. A dozen sixth-level beasts attacking from the air would force even a seventh-level warrior to flee for their life.

The dozen Wingdrakes dove straight down— "Clang!" One Wingdrake's sharp claws struck viciously at Lin Lei's Earth Guardian Holy Armor. The armor trembled, and its golden sheen flickered noticeably.

"I can't take this head-on!"

The power behind that strike shook Lin Lei. He immediately redoubled his desperate flight through the woods, deliberately choosing the most difficult paths. Diving, jumping, scrambling... At this moment, he was pushing himself to the absolute limit. Overhead, the dozen Wingdrakes jostled for position, trying to claw him down.

"Yip!"

's furious shriek sounded. The Shadow Mouse, Bei Bei, swelled its entire body, expanding from twenty centimeters to a full half-meter long. Yet even at half a meter, Bei Bei was still minuscule compared to the Wingdrakes with their twenty-meter wingspans.

"Whoosh!" Bei Bei tapped off Lin Lei's shoulder, becoming a black blur that shot straight towards one of the diving Wingdrakes.

Sounds of shattering bone and the Wingdrake's terrified shrieks were heard before the creature plummeted from the sky. Bei Bei leaped from that dying Wingdrake onto another, sinking its fangs twice into the beast's neck, killing it instantly.

Wingdrakes were only sixth-level magical beasts, while Bei Bei had even forced a seventh-level 'Rapid Dragon' to flee in panic.

Moreover— The gap between sixth and seventh level was a massive chasm; the difference in strength was enormous. Bei Bei simply couldn't fly, but once it got onto a Wingdrake's back, that Wingdrake was doomed. In just a short while, three of the dozen Wingdrakes lay dead.

The remaining Wingdrakes panicked and flew higher, but Bei Bei, looking up at them, could do nothing. It was simply unable to fly.
