Fang Yuan was completely reduced to a spectator throughout the entire third act of the Breath Path dream realm.
However, once this third act concluded, the entire Breath Path dream realm dissipated, and Fang Yuan's exploration was fully completed.
"This dream realm is hard at the start and easy at the end. The first two acts require constant failure and accumulating experience. Even with my Dream Deciphering Killer Move, it's not all that effective."
"But for the final act, I didn't even need to do anything — I just passed through automatically."
This was the most comfortable time Fang Yuan had been reduced to a spectator. If every exploration could be "watched" through like this, how wonderful dream exploration would be.
"The era this dream realm depicts is either primordial or ancient."
"Heavenly Court…"
Fang Yuan's gaze grew complicated.
Even as its mortal enemy, he had to acknowledge Heavenly Court's greatness.
Then his gaze turned purely icy cold: "But no matter how great it is, if it blocks my path, I have no choice but to do everything in my power to destroy it."
This dream realm exploration succeeded, and Fang Yuan advanced to Breath Path Grandmaster!
The leap was quite significant. After all, Fang Yuan's previous Breath Path level had been completely barren — utterly ordinary.
"No wonder that Wei Yushu in the dream could receive the continuous favor of the Ink People's Princess. I imagine his talent and aptitude in the Breath Path must have been one of the main reasons."
What Fang Yuan gained most from this dream exploration was not the dream itself, nor Heavenly Court, but insight into his own soul.
Wild Soul!
After achieving Wild Soul, dream exploration had become far easier.
If his soul had still been at the Human Soul level, the damage from this exploration would have been much heavier. Although he had Courage Gu for recovery, it would have severely hampered his exploration efficiency.
A sudden inspiration struck Fang Yuan: "Perhaps in the future, if I use a Pure Dream True Body to explore dream realms, the damage to my soul will be even less than it is now."
Just as when Fang Yuan cultivated in Lost Horizon Valley, enduring the Blast of Lost Horizon. Once his soul retreated into his physical body, the Blast's power would drop sharply.
If Fang Yuan used a Pure Dream True Body to carry his soul into a dream realm, the soul should also be rigorously protected by the body.
An ordinary physical body could not block the power of dream realms. But a Pure Dream True Body was different.
Unfortunately, Fang Yuan still did not know the correct method for using a Pure Dream True Body to enter dreams.
If he simply dispatched a Pure Dream True Body into the dream realm, it would enter and exit freely, undisturbed by the dream's influence. But it would also be unable to immerse itself in the dream's contents, making exploration impossible.
"Next, I'll explore this Ice Path dream realm." Fang Yuan shifted his gaze.
His Supreme Immortal Vault already held a fair number of dream realms in storage.
The Breath Path dream realm he had just finished had been the largest, and it was now gone. This Ice Path dream realm stepped up to become the largest one remaining.
Besides it, there were other dream realms — Breath Path, Sword Path, Wood Path, and so on — scattered and fragmentary.
"With my Wild Soul, dream exploration efficiency has improved dramatically. These stored dream realms, which I once thought were a decent amount, seem rather scant now."
"Moreover, they're categorized by path, scattered and piecemeal. Heh, that's Chi Quyou's little scheme at work."
Fang Yuan saw through it clearly.
Though Chi Quyou traded with Fang Yuan continuously, the formation was under his covert control. Having obtained a great deal of Dream Path research results, he could already roughly identify the types of dream realms.
So when trading with him, Fang Yuan deliberately controlled the process, sending dream realms of different paths to Fang Yuan in as fragmented a manner as possible.
Not a single Human Path dream realm — the very type Fang Yuan truly wanted — had been included. Breath Path and Ice Path dream realms were also few in number.
But all of these dream realms were still useful to Fang Yuan.
Even Time Path dream realms and Refinement Path dream realms, so long as they were ones he had not explored in his previous life.
After all, Fang Yuan's highest attainment was still only Quasi-Supreme. There was plenty of room for growth.
Fang Yuan accepted everything offered. All of these dream realms could elevate his attainment levels. And raising every path uniformly, eliminating all shortcomings — that was an excellent thing. In the future, when he annexed Immortal Apertures, he would no longer have to worry about being constrained in this regard.
During Fang Yuan's dream exploration period, the Mao Clan Gu Immortals had achieved results.
"Lord Fang Yuan, we have refined this Immortal Gu." Mao Liu presented an Immortal Gu.
The Immortal Gu resembled a water droplet, shimmering with a blue-diamond brilliance. When held in the hand, its surface was smooth and cool.
This was the Time Anchor Immortal Gu, at the Sixth Transformation level.
Although Fang Yuan had primarily been mass-refining Luck Path Immortal Gu during this period, Gu like the Time Anchor Immortal Gu were still part of the refinement plan.
Though Fang Yuan's Immortal Gu count had surpassed one hundred, he could afford to maintain them all — he was rolling in resources, wealthy beyond measure. So the more Immortal Gu, the better.
He had encountered the Time Anchor Immortal Gu early on. It had once belonged to Su Baiman, the Eastern Sea Immortal Zombie, and could mark a specific point in time.
After Su Baiman's death, the Time Anchor Immortal Gu was obtained by the Shadow Sect, but it was destroyed in the great battle at Yi Tian Mountain.
This time, Fang Yuan had ordered the Mao Clan Gu Immortals to refine a new one.
The Time Anchor Immortal Gu paired with the Spring Autumn Cicada could form a killer move, allowing Fang Yuan to be reborn at a specific point in time.
This killer move was of extremely high value.
As things stood right now, Fang Yuan could simply mark the current time point, then explore dream realms endlessly without a care in the world. Once he reached a certain stage, he could use this killer move to return to the past, arrive at the present time point once more, and then explore other dream realms.
