Leilin Farell!

That name was legend in the Extreme Dark Domain! It was myth! His exploits had even been written into epic poems, praised time and again by countless bards!

And now, the living legend had appeared before the eyes of these Wizards.

"It seems like quite a few interesting things happened while I was away!"

Leilin swept his gaze across the room, and a multitude of Academy Masters — whether First-rank or Second-rank Wizards — all took several steps back.

Smack! Finally, one Second-rank could endure no longer and dropped to his knees. "Lord Leilin! Please forgive me! Akziwa never betrayed you — it was all because of Bank's coercion!"

As an elder who had lived in the same era as Leilin, Akziwa knew better than anyone the depths of Leilin's ruthlessness and cruelty. The moment Leilin appeared, he had nearly wet himself in terror.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Like a cascade of dominoes, even more Wizards fell to their knees.

No matter how much effort Bank had previously spent scheming and threatening, the moment Leilin showed up, all of it became a joke.

"Weren't you the one who wanted me here? Now I'm here — what do you have to say?"

Leilin looked at Bank, barely bothering to speak to a man like this, and in Bank's ears, every word dripped with absolute mockery.

"Shadow of Locke!"

Bank's face alternated between green and red, then his Pseudo-Field erupted into existence. The fluctuations of a Third-rank Wizardry spell blazed around him, and the radiance of a low-grade Magical Item flickered continuously.

Confident that he had unleashed his strongest attack, Bank charged straight at Leilin.

He knew full well that the moment Leilin appeared, all his plans had turned to ash. The only hope of redemption was to shatter the legend with his own hands — to defeat Leilin!

He had faith in his inheritance!

A massive Domain unfurled, sweeping numerous Second-rank Wizards aside. The savage and violent power made the faces of the surrounding Wizards drain of color.

"Quite the courage!" Leilin narrowed his eyes slightly.

Crack! First, the low-grade Magical Item in Bank's hands began to shatter inch by inch, then the Pseudo-Field crumbled, the glow of the Third-rank spell was snuffed out in an instant, and a layer of grey-white stone skin rapidly spread across Bank's body, transforming him into a statue.

On the face of that statue, Bank's expression of madness morphing into shock was still vividly frozen in place.

The entire figure looked like a clown fleeing in panic — utterly absurd.

"Weren't you so desperate for glory, to have your name passed down through the ages? Very well — this statue can be placed in the plaza of the Nature Alliance. It'll serve as quite the contrast!"

Leilin nodded.

The assembly fell into deathly silence. The assembled Wizards thought they must be dreaming.

What had they just witnessed? Third-rank powerhouse Bank launching a full-power attack against Leilin, and in the end the man simply blinked — and Bank turned into a statue, his very soul annihilated?

Lord Holy Light Guardian seemed even more terrifying than the legends suggested — by无数倍!

"Well? Does anyone here have further objections to the internal affairs of my Nature Alliance Academy?"

Leilin swept his gaze across the room once more.

At that moment, Basa and the other die-hard loyalists of Bank already sensed a terrible premonition and began retreating. Even the glow of teleportation spells began to shimmer.

Unfortunately, it was already too late.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Like bursts of fleshy fireworks, Basa and several other Bank loyalists exploded into clouds of gore.

Warm blood and viscera scattered across the faces and shoulders of the Wizards present, but not a single one dared wipe it off — let alone step forward to intervene.

"Lord Holy Light Guardian didn't even lift a hand, and there were no fluctuations of Wizardry energy… How did those Second-rank Wizards just…"

After their shock reached its absolute peak, the minds of the Wizards present had gone completely blank.

"No! No objections! Headmistress Xiling's accomplishments are plain for all to see!"

Now they truly would rather die than stick their necks out again.

For the likes of these First-rank and Second-rank trash, Leilin could now kill them by the dozen with a mere breath. He couldn't be bothered to waste any more time on them.

"Leilin!" Xiling stepped forward, her voice thick with emotion — which genuinely surprised Leilin.

He had assumed that once he left, Xiling — now holding all the power — would have been delighted if he never returned! But it seemed that the separation of time had actually made this woman remember his good qualities.

Leilin chuckled silently and sat down directly in the seat of honor, while Xiling stood respectfully at his side.

The other Wizards who had supported Xiling moments ago — Yilun, Guoguoer, , and the rest — had eyes brimming with wild joy.

Most of them had only mustered the courage to back Xiling because their soul essence was in her hands. But Leilin's arrival had not only instantly turned the situation around — it had also made their investment pay off handsomely.

Leilin paid no attention to Yilun and the others. Instead, his gaze settled on a young Wizard — this man had a handsome, sunny face and had been the most unequivocal supporter of Xiling.

"This is Will! A Second-generation student of the Nature Alliance Academy, now promoted to a full Wizard serving as a professor…" Xiling hurriedly introduced him to Leilin.

"I know full well…" Leilin smiled, studying Will's face. He could even make out certain familiar traces in those features.

"Your mother — is she doing well?" Leilin suddenly asked.

"Huh? My mother?" Will was inwardly startled, having no idea why Leilin would bring her up, but he answered anyway. "My mother was only a Wizard Apprentice. She passed away over fifty years ago…"

"I see…" Leilin sighed, a note of wistfulness in his voice. " is the great enemy of all living things…"

"Lord Holy Light Guardian — did you know my mother?" Will's whole body trembled with excitement. He had never met his father from the day he was born. His mother had always said that his father had gone to do something extremely important, something righteous, and never returned. Could it be…

The implications of Leilin's question and Will's answer were far too rich. Not only the surrounding Wizards but even Xiling began to harbor uneasy suspicions. She looked at Leilin, then studied Will, a thoughtful gleam in her eyes as her mind raced.

If her guess proved correct, then even though Will was one of her most capable supporters, she would need to quietly suppress him in the future — though on the surface she should appear even closer to him.

Had Leilin known what Xiling was thinking, he would have rolled his eyes hard. Even after the erosion of time, Xiling was still the same creature of ambition she had always been.

"We pay respect to Lord Holy Light Guardian! Please lead us to defeat the foreign coalition once more!"

By now, with Bank and his cronies utterly annihilated, and the incomparably powerful Leilin standing watch, what choice did the assembled Wizards have? They immediately dropped into respectful prostration.

Though Bank and Xiling had invited them as allies, in front of a fearsome man like Leilin, these Wizards dared not stand on ceremony — they all began conducting themselves as subordinates.

"You have disappointed me greatly…"

Leilin's eyes swept across the crowd, and his very first sentence sent cold sweat streaming down the backs of many kneeling Wizards, soaking through their robes.

"The foreign coalition is already at our gates, and yet you lot were busy squabbling over petty power struggles!" Leilin shook his head, his tone full of pity for their foolishness.

"At our gates?" Xiling clapped a hand over her mouth in alarm.

"What?" The Wizards below erupted into uproar. The news was simply too shocking.

"What — did you think those foreigners would obediently wait at Botti City?" A mocking smile crossed Leilin's lips, and with a mere thought…

The Wizards present suddenly felt an overwhelming force lock down their entire beings, rendering every drop of Wizardry energy completely unusable. Then came a sensation of the world spinning wildly around them.

By the time they regained their bearings, they had all been transported out of the assembly hall and deposited somewhere outdoors.

And across from them, a group of Dark Elves, goblin mechanical operators, and even Dark Beast Monarchs stood with eyes wide, staring at the Wizards who had materialized out of thin air.

"This is… the mountain perimeter outside the Nature Alliance! They really were planning a sneak attack!"

Xiling's eyes went blank for a moment before she grasped the situation, and ice-cold dread flooded through her limbs.

The foreign coalition opposite them was clearly composed of elites — every single one was at least a full Wizard, and several Third-rank powerhouses led them. Had they launched a surprise assault while she and Bank were locked in their power struggle, the human Wizards would have suffered a devastating defeat. Setting everything else aside, the Nature Alliance Academy certainly would not have survived. And after Bank's death, the entire Extreme Dark Domain… Xiling dared not continue that line of thought.

"Lord Holy Light Guardian suppressed all of us Wizards in an instant and transported us here without the slightest chance to resist — which means that if he so wished, annihilating every last one of us would require no effort at all…"

Compared to Xiling, the other Wizards were all stunned by the terrifying power Leilin had displayed.

Not only the instantaneous killing of Bank, but this mass teleportation as well — these were merely the tip of the iceberg of Leilin's strength, and they had already lost every shred of will to resist.

"Human Wizards — you actually managed to detect our concealment?"

A lilting laugh rang out as the Dark Elves parted, revealing an Empress clad in golden-sleeved robes.

This Empress had delicate features and pointed ears, and the energy fluctuations emanating from her body had clearly reached the Third-rank level.

Behind her, a stocky Dwarf and a goblin commanding massive machinery also stepped forward. Several Dark Beast Monarchs — each the size of a small mountain — let out terrifying roars.

"Third-rank! Third-rank! They're all Third-rank powerhouses!" The Wizards murmured in a daze.

Not only the legendary Empress — who would have thought that even among the long-oppressed races like the Dwarves and goblins, Third-rank monarchs had emerged!

Combined with the Dark Beast Monarchs, a total of six Third-rank powerhouses had assembled here!
