According to Melinda, whether one had begun to touch the power of Laws was a massive dividing line in strength among sixth-rank Sunrise Wizards.
And the Wizard Thrones on the Central Continent had all obtained primordial power from the other worlds they had conquered, beginning to touch certain Laws — that was why they were called "Thrones"!
The Flame Throne had obtained the empowerment of the world's primal force within the Flame World and begun to touch the Law of Flame.
Once it had fully comprehended the power of flame, that would be the moment it raised its Throne high and ascended to become a seventh-rank Law Wizard!
The insights and memories such a wizard possessed regarding the power of Laws were, for people like Leilin who were at the Moonlight rank, of incalculable benefit — this went without saying.
"The Flame Throne's period of weakened strength? How long can it last?"
This was what Leilin was most concerned about.
"At least one month, and at most nearly three months — almost a hundred days!" Melinda smiled, looking very much like a little fox.
"And for certain well-known reasons, the Flame Throne's Moonlight Wizards — such as Carol and Eugene — have fallen one after another. This will absolutely cause enormous trouble for the Flame Throne's defenses this time…"
Leilin fell silent. Those two fifth-rank Moonlight Wizards had died at his own hand, of course. But Melinda had been even more ruthless — she had personally eliminated the opponent's last peak Moonlight Wizard.
Looking back now, this gradual approach of trimming the enemy's wings before delivering the killing blow at the very end — everything Melinda had done carried a deliberate, calculated flavor.
"I have invited all of you here today so that we can slay the Flame Throne in one strike! Does anyone have further questions?"
As she spoke, terrifying ripples radiated outward from Melinda's body, revealing that she had already reached the peak of the Moonlight rank. Her voice, too, had shifted from its previous childlike tone to something cold and merciless, like winter ice.
"I have no objections! As long as I can have my revenge on the Flame Throne, I'll do anything!"
Clark was the first to roar his agreement.
"My brother's decision is my decision!" Joanna looked at her brother, tenderness shining in her eyes.
"Heh heh… As long as the resulting Law Comprehension Crystals can be distributed fairly afterwards, what's the big deal about making a move?"
The Spirit Wizard inside the mirror sneered coldly as well.
"And you, Lord Leilin? The Flame Throne seems to still be rather fixated on you — it even personally orchestrated multiple strikes against the Ring of the Ouroboros…"
Melinda was clearly very well-informed about all of these matters, which secretly irked Leilin a little.
However, on the matter of bringing down the Flame Throne, their goals were aligned and their interests shared. So Leilin nodded:
"I'll join as well. But how can you guarantee that the final spoils will be distributed equally? Can you ensure that every one of us gets what we want?"
With that, Leilin's gleaming eyes fixed directly on Melinda, pressing her with his gaze.
Faced with Leilin's stare, Melinda could only smile bitterly: "I can't guarantee that this operation will succeed either, after all — the opponent is a Sunrise Throne. But what I can guarantee is that the final spoils will absolutely be distributed equally. We can even sign an Eye of Judgment contract! With our current power, the Eye of Judgment we summon will be an advanced avatar capable of independent thought. It won't overlook any loopholes or leave room for anyone to exploit!"
"In that case, I have no further objections."
Leilin shook his head. A fifth-rank Moonlight Wizard's every word and action could form a binding contractual force, and with the additional constraint of the Eye of Judgment, he could not think of any way to circumvent it.
After all, the Eye of Judgment they summoned now was an advanced model with autonomous judgment capabilities — it even had the authority to connect directly to its main body at any time.
Against this form of Eye of Judgment, the Filth Bird's feather solution would no longer be effective, unless they summoned the other party's avatar to descend as well — but that would cause far too great a commotion.
"Good! Since everyone agrees, then let me explain the plan going forward!"
A streak of light flew from Melinda's hand into midair, forming a translucent screen that hung before them.
"I have intelligence that the opponent has not actually been hiding in their lair during this period. Instead, they've been concealed within a world rift on the outskirts of the Flame World, where they've been constructing a large number of labyrinths. Our primary objective this time is to launch a direct assault on the Flame Throne's stronghold — Duzel City! Their Astral Gate and the coordinates to the Flame World are located there. After seizing those, we'll forcibly descend into the Flame World and destroy the Flame Throne in one fell swoop!"
Melinda swept her hand through the air with a fierce, decisive gesture, exuding an air of iron-clad resolve.
She cast her gaze around the room: "Right now, Duzel City may not even have a single Moonlight Wizard inside — only a handful of the Flame Throne's Morning Stars standing guard. Once we conquer it, we'll be able to claim the full accumulated wealth of a sixth-rank power…"
After hearing Melinda's plan, every wizard's eyes besides Leilin's had begun to gleam.
As a force led by a sixth-rank Sunrise Wizard, the Flame Throne's millennia of plundering across the Central Continent — even if only a small fraction of the physical goods were stored in Duzel City — would be more than enough for these fifth-rank wizards to make a killing.
"There's no time to lose. We set out now!"
Melinda placed her hands on her hips, thrust her chest forward, and even恢复ed her original childlike voice pitch. Combined with her solemn expression, the effect was strikingly incongruous — so much so that Leilin nearly burst out laughing.
