"What's going on? Wasn't it agreed that we'd just go and stop him? How did things end up like this?"

Geoffrey, watching from the side, was somewhat stunned. "This is bad! Beavis's personality is far too extreme, and he just happened to trigger a Tier Six bloodline's emotional flare-up! We need to stop him right away! Otherwise, Lord Leilin might..."

A Tier Six transformation spell — even if the warlock's own level hadn't reached that tier, it would still be incomparably more powerful than any other Tier Five creature. Geoffrey was worried that Leilin might suffer some damage, which would be a blow to the Warlock Alliance as well.

After all, Leilin, as a Tier Five Radiant Moon Wizard, was one of the higher-ups here!

"A Tier Six bloodline's emotional flare-up could affect all of us!" Wade, on the other side, was quite worried.

"There's no need to worry! Lord Leilin is still there!" Aofa waved his hand, looking thoroughly at ease.

"Not only did he see through the opponent's bloodline origin, but he forced him step by step into his own trap. Lord Leilin really is becoming more and more surprising... Perhaps, with him around, we'll reap even more pleasant surprises..."

"What?" Geoffrey and Wade exclaimed in unison. "Don't tell me Lord Leilin still has power to spare?"

"I can't say, I can't say!"

Aofa waved his hand, his gaze even more focused on the battlefield.

"Awooo!" The Mist Giant roared, massive amounts of grey mist seeping out from its pores and transforming into armor and weapons.

Every single attack could shatter the void itself, brimming with destructive power.

Beavis's mind was already consumed by rage — he had even developed direct killing intent toward Leilin, a complete departure from his earlier intention of merely teaching Leilin a lesson.

The shame of having his secrets peered into, the anger of having his pride wounded, and especially after seeing Leilin display such incredible power — a flame called jealousy immediately mixed with the madness carried within his bloodline genes, forming an even more terrifying wave.

The result was that Beavis's reason had almost entirely dissipated, and he was prepared to kill Leilin here at any cost!

"Poor little brat!"

From the enormous Comorin Python Emperor, Leilin's voice rang out. A layer of black runes continuously emerged from the surface of the scales, and even the Mist Giant's mist-based attacks were effectively deflected by the runes and scales alike.

Leilin's two eyes fixed on the four-armed Mist Giant before him, mysterious light seeming to radiate from his pupils.

"Comorin's Gaze!"

After being regarded by the Comorin Python Emperor's amber vertical pupils, the four-armed giant's figure stiffened, and a layer of greyish-white stone skin instantly spread over its body.

"My bloodline — how could it possibly lose to this kind of low-level thing?!" Beavis roared frantically, massive amounts of crimson radiance surging from his body and forcing out the grey stone skin.

But that brief moment of stagnation was already enough for the Comorin Python Emperor to lunge forward. Its enormous tail swept across the sky, and apocalyptic power erupted forth in a devastating surge.

Crack! The Mist Giant was sent flying, the surrounding grey mist shattering apart to reveal the original cosmic starfield beyond.

"A Tier Six Mist Giant's bloodline! I'll be taking it!"

A voice transmission suddenly reached Beavis's sea of consciousness. Before he could even figure out what was happening, the Comorin Python Emperor had already opened its maw — its two sharp, curved fangs plunging deep into his neck.

Terrifying suction emanated from the fangs, and Beavis screamed hysterically.

Crash! Massive amounts of grey mist shattered, the Mist Giant cracking apart inch by inch. Within the grey mist, a flash of light appeared, revealing Beavis's true form.

But at this point, he had two enormous blood-red holes in his neck and looked utterly wretched. The gaze he directed at Leilin was as though he were staring at some demon.

"Ah..." The moment his eyes met Leilin's, Beavis seemed to suffer some tremendous shock. He let out a strange cry, his body transforming into a streak of blood-light that hurtled into the Morning Star Space at incredible speed.

"How... weak..."

Light and flame flickered, and Leilin reverted to his true form, looking somewhat wistful. No matter how powerful the bloodline one inherited, a lack of combat experience and willpower would still put one at a severe disadvantage — that was Beavis's shortcoming.

And with the Chip as his trump card, Leilin not only possessed extremely rich combat experience but also employed deeply cunning methods.

"That should be enough. Time to go!"

He sneered, turning his gaze toward a certain spot in the void, a piercing gleam in his eyes.

In the next instant, Leilin's entire body transformed into a streak of black flame and vanished into the air.

...

Inside the Morning Star Space, Aofa and the other three Radiant Moon Warlocks looked at each other in bewilderment. "Lord Leilin actually detected our observation? But this is a High-grade Magical Artifact — the Retrospection Stone Basin..."
