"What prophecy?" Leilin's spirits lifted.
"Within this century, before the Ice Tide recedes, the Bloodline Throne shall rise and sweep away every other throne across the Central Continent!"
Jeffrey's body trembled with excitement.
"The Bloodline Warlock's throne?" Leilin shook his head. "How could it be that simple?"
"But once a sixth-level warlock appears, with the enhancement of their bloodline, they would surely be a powerhouse among Dawn Wizards. Perhaps the Flame Throne sensed the danger and decided to nip the budding threat in the bud—and for that very reason, the other thrones of the Central Continent are more than happy to see it happen!"
Wade's expression turned somewhat grim.
"There's some logic to that." Leilin rubbed his chin.
"And there are only a handful of candidates who fit the prophecy—Lord Leilin, you are one of them. So, for your own safety and for the future of us warlocks, I would ask that Lord Leilin remain within Morning Star Space as much as possible. Even if you must go out, use a clone or something of the sort..."
Jeffrey said earnestly.
"What? Do you think I can advance to become a Dawn Wizard?" Leilin's heart skipped a beat, though his expression was one of amused exasperation. "Even if my bloodline has evolved into the Comoin Serpent Emperor, my ultimate limit is still only the fifth level!"
"We are well aware of the difficulty of the bloodline bottleneck, but a fifth-level Comoin Serpent Emperor is already a significant fighting force for our Morning Star Space..." Wade said meaningfully.
"With this attitude... have they really found a bloodline warlock capable of advancing to the sixth level?" Seeing Wade's demeanor, Leilin was already forming some ideas.
"For the great cause of the Bloodline Warlock Alliance, I would naturally not hesitate—but the grudge between Jupiter's Thunder and the Ring of the Ouroboros still needs me to settle..."
A hint of hesitation crossed Leilin's face.
"On that point, Lord Leilin need not worry in the slightest. According to our intelligence, the leader of Jupiter's Thunder—the Night Phantom, Jesiah—has already fallen..."
Jeffrey glanced at Opha, then relayed the news to Leilin.
"What? Jesiah has fallen?" The news immediately made Leilin's eyes widen. He never could have imagined that this enemy, who had previously put him under so much pressure, had died so silently.
Though with his current strength, Leilin was confident he could have brought Jesiah down in battle, this outcome still left him feeling frustrated—a sensation like punching cotton.
"How did he die?" For Morning Star Wizards, a lifespan exceeding a thousand years was perfectly normal, and the soul of a Radiant Moon Wizard could persist for several millennia.
Given Jesiah's age, he certainly hadn't died of old age.
"On that matter, we haven't received any information. But after Jesiah's fall, Jupiter's Thunder came under the control of another fifth-level witch, who announced the abandonment of all previous diplomatic and military actions. In other words, the state of emergency between them and your Ring of the Ouroboros has been lifted..."
"A fifth-level witch?" For some reason, the moment he heard this news, Leilin's mind immediately turned to the figure who had been lurking behind Jesiah.
During their previous encounters, he had vaguely sensed that Jesiah must have had a more knowledgeable wizard with a broader perspective backing him, and his current intuition pointed directly at that person.
"Was it truly an accidental fall, or was it engineered?" Leilin's eyes flickered, various colors of light surging within them.
"As for the two dukes and your wife and the others, we can absolutely arrange for them to live here and guarantee their safety!" It seemed that Wade was worried Leilin might have other concerns, so he immediately made this assurance.
"Then I truly thank you, my lord! However, let me first finish what I have on hand before visiting Furi and the others!"
Leilin nodded his thanks. As for this Bloodline Warlock headquarters in Morning Star Space, he had initially harbored some suspicion and worry, but it now seemed that they truly only wanted to protect a bloodline with great potential.
Though most of his suspicions had been alleviated, Leilin still needed to verify things through his own means before making any decision.
After learning more, Leilin now had a general understanding of the Bloodline Warlock Alliance's top combat power.
Morning Star Space was the stronghold of the Bloodline Warlocks. The entire upper echelon of the Bloodline Warlocks, aside from Jeffrey, Wade, and Opha, consisted of only one mysterious fifth-level warlock hidden away in the outside world, serving as the final trump card.
It could be said that Leilin was now at the pinnacle of all Bloodline Warlocks—one of the five great powers!
As such, his status within Morning Star Space could no longer be described merely as honorable—he had been granted a measure of sovereignty!
He could even freely access some of the Bloodline Warlock Alliance's treasured collections. After receiving so many benefits, the first thing Leilin did was copy all the readable materials into his Chip, bolstering his database.
