In a void within the Abyssal Domain, countless spatial distortions converged and coalesced into a passageway.
Leylin, clad in a loose black robe, stepped through the spatial passage.
A battle at the Radiant Moon tier—even when fought within the cracks between worlds—caused destruction on a massive scale. Had such a confrontation taken place within the Abyssal Domain itself, more than half of it would have been utterly annihilated.
But even so, the earlier probes had already inflicted severe damage upon the land here.
While the area of direct destruction was not enormous, the residual radiation and curses would likely continue to corrode the earth, potentially spreading ever outward.
If fortune was unkind, it could even give rise to something akin to a conglomeration of resentment, triggering a soul plague or drawing down wandering consciousness from other worlds.
Any one of these outcomes would spell disaster for the Abyssal Domain in its current state.
"Battles at the Radiant Moon level cause far too much destruction! This isn't just about the direct devastation—the secondary contamination that follows is just as bad!"
Leylin gazed down at the chaotic wasteland below, his brow furrowing slightly. "If anyone did this in the Central Continent, they'd have been branded a public enemy long ago…"
The extent of such destruction was something even the Chip had no good solution for. They could only passively wait for the environment to heal on its own, or carry out slow, cooperative remediation.
"There's another guest who's been watching from the sidelines for quite some time. Won't you come out and show yourself?"
Leylin's gaze suddenly shifted toward a patch of empty void.
There, he sensed not only Radiant Moon-level soul power, but also the aura of a bloodline. It wasn't that of the Komodo Giant Serpent, but it was clearly some form of warlock lineage.
"Heh heh… So Lord Leylin has discovered me after all!"
A flash of crimson light swept past, and a massive blood-red bat materialized. On the bat's belly, unmistakably, was a young human face.
"Lord Leylin! The last time we met was when you first ventured into the Morning Star domain. I never expected you'd catch up to us old-timers so quickly!"
The face on the blood bat's belly spoke with a warm smile.
"This familiar fluctuation—you're the Guardian of the Morning Star domain!" With only a brief assessment, Leylin identified the other party.
After all, he had once communicated with this entity's consciousness within the Morning Star domain. The Chip had long since recorded the aura of such a Tier Five existence—there was no way he could mistake it.
"Indeed! I am Jeffrey! I had been worried those few might pose a threat to Lord Leylin, but it seems I was overthinking things…"
The blood-red bat chuckled.
"Regardless, I am very grateful for your rescue, my lord. As for this 'Lord' title you just used?" Leylin gave a slight bow, then a hint of confusion crossed his face.
"Within our Bloodline Warlock Alliance, the Ring of the Ouroboros isn't the only organization that employs a noble ranking system. Tier Four corresponds to Duke, and warlocks who reach Tier Five are all addressed as 'Lord'—equivalent to the rank of Prince!"
The blood-red bat explained.
"I see! Then, since you are also a Highness, what brings you here?"
Leilin nodded.
"Naturally! I hereby formally invite Your Highness Leilin to the Bloodline Warlocks' ultimate stronghold — Morning Star Space!"
The human face on the bat's abdomen turned solemn, and Leilin agreed: "Indeed, it's about time I paid a visit. It seems there's still some major unresolved issue between Wizards and Warlocks on the Central Continent!"
In truth, Leilin was feeling somewhat frustrated. The only mortal enemy he had provoked was the Thunder of Jupiter.
Although the forces of Sky City were hostile toward him, they hadn't yet resorted to sending people to hunt him down. So, once he advanced to Tier Five and dealt with Jersia, he would be free to roam the entire Central Continent as he pleased.
But reality had dealt Leilin a vicious blow! The appearance of Carol and the others made it abundantly clear that there was an extremely hostile organization on the Central Continent — one that considered hunting down and exterminating Warlocks its sacred duty.
And as the most dazzling rising star of the Bloodline Warlocks, Leilin had unfortunately become their target.
"Still, at least I've already reached Tier Five. With the Komoin Snake Emperor's enhancement and the Chip's assistance, I'll have a chance to escape even when facing a Dawn-rank Wizard. That should be enough..."
A cold light flickered through Leilin's eyes. Today's ambush had truly infuriated him.
"I don't care who you are or how much power you wield — even if you have a Dawn Throne behind you, one day I, Leilin Farell, will uproot you from the Central Continent entirely. I swear it!"
......
Leilin was nothing if not decisive. He had few attachments in the Polar Dark Domain to begin with, and after leaving a brief message for Xiling about the matter, he immediately followed Jeffrey out of the Polar Dark Domain and into Morning Star Space.
Standing once again within the solidified expanse of Morning Star Space, gazing upon the shattered universe and the colossal stars, a deep sense of emotion washed over Leilin's face.
