"The final purification and activation of the bloodline — the conditions here might not be sufficient!"
Leylin surveyed the entire laboratory. The crystal-like floor and walls radiated a unique glow.
Even for a Morning Star Wizard, this environment was an excellent place to conduct experiments.
However, activating an ancient bloodline required several steps that were quite troublesome and even carried a certain degree of danger. It would be best to perform them within a Morning Star Wizard Tower.
Leylin's own wizard tower was still some time away from completion, so modifying and reinforcing this place was a necessary piece of work.
Leylin glanced at the chaotic cultivation pool, paying no further heed to the roars and struggles within. After issuing a few instructions to the tower spirit, he left the area directly.
"A Morning Star Wizard Tower..."
At the headquarters of the Ouroboros Ring, though Leylin had only been away for a short period, great changes had already taken place.
Not only had the number of warlocks here climbed to a new level — a consequence of the temporary cessation of hostilities driving warlock refugees from other regions into this one — but an enormous wizard tower had also been erected in a prominent location.
Compared to Leylin's previous wizard tower, this one was several times larger in volume, and it radiated a terrifying aura of power. Its spire seemed to pierce directly into the void itself.
This was the Morning Star Wizard Tower built for Leylin by the Oakheart family and the bloodline warlock families working in concert.
Although constructing a wizard tower was not something that could be done in a short time, the fundamental framework had already been assembled.
A large number of high-ranking warlocks, visiting wizard craftsmen, and formation specialists were gathered around the tower, constantly working on its construction.
"My lord!" Faisal, Pike, and Friess hurried over to greet him.
"You've all done excellent work during my absence!" Leylin smiled at Friess and then addressed Faisal and the others.
"Thanks to following your architectural plans and implementing your suggestions, my lord, we are confident we can advance the tower's completion date!"
Faisal reported respectfully.
At the same time, a trace of quiet astonishment lingered in his mind. In his view, Leylin had already demonstrated unparalleled talent in warlock arts by advancing to Morning Star at just over two hundred years of age. Yet to think that the man could also devote attention to architecture and formation craft while simultaneously pursuing his wizard cultivation — Faisal could only silently marvel at what a monster he served.
Of course, that was something he would never say aloud.
"Very well. Pass along the order — all work is to cease every night. I will personally carry out deeper-level modifications to the wizard tower..."
Leylin said calmly.
"Could it be that you intend to..." A glint of light flashed through Faisal's eyes before he promptly withdrew.
"Now — who among anyone can demolish this?" Leylin looked at his Morning Star Wizard Tower, and a flash of confident light crossed his face.
His previous wizard tower had been destroyed by the Oakheart family, but they were now obligated to compensate him with one of Morning Star caliber.
And now, Leylin had confidence in his own strength. Even across the entire Central Continent, there were few who could once again destroy his wizard tower. He certainly wouldn't let himself fall to such a state.
"Perhaps... after ten million years, this wizard tower will become my symbol, standing here forever!"
Leylin looked at the colossal wizard tower, like a landmark, and a hint of a smile flashed in his eyes.
...
Late at night, there were no longer any wizards near the Morning Star Wizard Tower. Even Faisal and the others had long since moved far away from it.
They all understood clearly that the wizard tower was a wizard's core. Leylin surely had some secrets to arrange, and the fewer who knew about it, the better.
Moreover, a Morning Star Wizard releasing radiation without restraint posed a tremendous burden for them. It was best to avoid it if possible.
Leylin walked alone through the spacious interior of the wizard tower.
Because many runes and magic arrays hadn't been laid down yet, and some specific living facilities weren't installed, the current wizard tower was merely an empty shell, possessing no defensive power whatsoever.
"Chip! Begin scanning the entire wizard tower, and slowly adjust the radiation intensity!" Leylin commanded.
"Task established. Cooperative operation commencing. Adjusting..." The Chip immediately responded.
Accompanying the Chip's voice, a three-dimensional structural diagram appeared before Leylin. A burst of brilliant, colorful light also emerged from Leylin's body, beginning to merge with the entire structure.
Unlike last time in the Scarlet Ruins, where he had released his radiation without restraint, destroying everything, Leylin now carefully controlled the intensity of the radiation, allowing the wizard tower as a whole to slowly accept and adapt to the process.
It was common knowledge in the Central Continent that powerful wizards could use their own radiation to invigorate castle materials, even generate various strange phenomena. Although Leylin's Morning Star Wizard Tower used top-tier materials, it still required his own radiation to fuse everything together and achieve its optimal state.
In many legends and stories, the places where wizards resided were often accompanied by ghosts or resentful spirits, also due to the radiation altering the local environment.
And what Leylin was doing now was imputing his own mark upon the Morning Star Wizard Tower while simultaneously enhancing its power.
