The small circle here was clearly composed of Morning Star Wizards from both the Arcane Circle and the Wind Wolf Lair.
In ordinary times, Gilbert and his two companions might have also been part of it, but now only Lei Lin had come alone.
"Lord Lei Lin, allow me to make the introductions!"
Paul and Philip pulled Lei Lin to a seat, and Paul spoke first.
"These are two elders of our Arcane Circle—Elders Bray and Brun!"
"A pleasure to meet you both!" Lei Lin greeted them courteously. The Psionic Wizards looked far too peculiar; he couldn't even tell whether these two Morning Star Wizards were brothers. After all, they both sported octopus heads, making them rather hard to tell apart.
"This is the Grand Elder of our Wind Wolf Lair—Lord Hebrew! And beside him is his granddaughter, Bellice!"
Philip also introduced them to Lei Lin.
"Greetings, Lord Hebrew! Lady Bellice!" Lei Lin could clearly sense that Hebrew seemed to be the one leading the conversation here, and any wizard capable of having a Morning Star-level granddaughter was clearly no ordinary individual. The aura of bloodline power emanating from him was so dense that even Lei Lin had to be wary of it.
Only such a powerful bloodline could produce offspring who had also reached the Morning Star level.
"Your name is Lei Lin—Gilbert's disciple?" Hebrew appeared to have been resting with his eyes closed and now slowly opened them. Bellice, meanwhile, was studying Lei Lin with a somewhat curious gaze.
Even among bloodline wizards, Lei Lin's age seemed remarkably young.
"Yes!" Lei Lin admitted. Having a Morning Star Wizard as his mentor would undoubtedly bring considerable benefits when trying to join circles like this one.
"Since you're Gilbert's disciple, you're no stranger here!" Hebrew nodded. "Philip, give him the astral coordinates!"
"Yes, my lord!" Philip solemnly handed Lei Lin a mote of light that resembled a tiny star.
"What is this?" Lei Lin's pupils contracted, and the Chip immediately began analyzing it at rapid speed.
"Ding! Astral Gate coordinates detected. Recorded and filed into the Astral Experiment database!" The Chip quickly reported back.
"These are astral coordinates, connected to a small plane! Do you know what a plane is?" Hebrew explained slowly.
"A space one tier below a world—its laws of reality are incomplete—but any plane still surpasses a Secret Realm!"
Lei Lin recalled a passage from some ancient text.
Unlike Secret Realms, which could only exist nestled within a world, planes were dimensional spaces that could take root directly in the void of space. They even held the potential to grow into full-fledged worlds, though that was exceedingly rare.
In some planes, all life had perished, leaving nothing behind. Others had given rise to formidable beings, making them virtually indistinguishable from worlds—such as the Devil's Plane.
"That's right! And this plane—this is our Morning Star Wizards' Trading Plane!" Hebrew's words stunned the room.
"A Trading Plane?" Lei Lin's pupils contracted sharply.
That's right! Don't you think it's a real hassle for us to travel from all corners of the world every time we want to meet up? Especially when we need to trade for some specific material. That's why several Lords who've reached the Radiant Moon level joined forces to drag a small plane over to the border of our world, serving as the Morning Star Wizards' headquarters and trading base!
Hebrew slowly revealed a piece of hidden history. If Lei Lin hadn't already advanced to Morning Star—and on top of that, was a Bloodline Wizard—he would never have received this kind of information.
"But... although trading through the Astral Gate is very convenient, the energy cost..."
Opening a foreign plane channel through the Astral Gate consumed energy that was mountainous and oceanic. In particular, transporting objects—even living beings—required so much energy that it could exceed the value of the goods themselves, enough to make any Wizard cough up blood.
"Hehe... that's when connecting to a distant foreign plane..." Hebrew shook his head. "If that foreign plane is far away from us, the consumption is naturally enormous. Forget transporting trade goods—even sending Spiritual Power messages would be more trouble than it's worth! But our trading plane is different. It sits right beside the Wizard World, and the energy needed to open the gate is pitifully small. Otherwise, none of us would bother using it..."
This explanation was perfectly reasonable, and Lei Lin nodded in agreement, though inwardly he was still shaken by the Wizards' grand ambition.
Forcibly seizing a plane and anchoring it to the border of the Wizard World as a trading hub! The power and audacity of the Radiant Moon Wizards truly left Lei Lin in awe.
"After your own Astral Gate is built, you can simply imprint this coordinate onto it and use it directly. The items inside will definitely satisfy you—or even leave you completely astonished..."
Hebrew's voice was very slow, as if he might drift off to sleep at any moment, while Lei Lin nodded with a solemn expression.
"Thank you, my Lord!"
