Nie Li smiled. He had long anticipated this outcome, but he didn't care in the least — because Lihuo Holy Son would inevitably have need of him again.

"What kind of formation is this?" Lihuo Holy Son asked Nie Li in a low voice.
"This formation looks somewhat familiar. It contains boundless mysteries — breaking through something like this would take at least two or three months!" Nie Li said thoughtfully.
Hearing Nie Li's words, Lihuo Holy Son fell silent. He hadn't yet been able to discern what kind of formation the dense field of stones before them represented. If Nie Li had simply said it couldn't be broken, that would have been one thing — they could have dragged Nie Li along and forced their way through. But Nie Li was saying it would take two or three months. What were they supposed to do?
Were they to wait here? Or attempt to break through the formation?
