Chapter 337: Opening the Acupoints

January 17, 2020 · 5 min read · 1,035 words

The techniques that cultivated and the martial philosophy he had grasped left brimming with profound curiosity.

This was an entirely new domain of martial arts that she had never encountered before!

And so Long Yuyin had come to hold Nie Li in complete admiration.

Ever since Nie Li had encouraged her to compete for the position of head of the Dragon Seal Family, she had already sent word to several servants who had previously served her father. It shouldn't be long before she received a reply.

Long Yuyin looked up at Nie Li.

The next step was to help Long Yuyin open her acupoints. Nie Li took out a set of golden needles from his Space Ring.

Long Yuyin seemed a bit flustered and nervous, her cheeks flushed slightly warm, her thoughts wandering. After all, this was the first time she had been alone in a room with a man late at night!

Once everything was prepared, Nie Li looked at Long Yuyin and said, "Go ahead and take off your clothes."

"Huh?" Long yuyin blurted out in shock.

"How am I supposed to give you the needles if you don't take them off?" Nie Li said. In his eyes, Long Yuyin was still just a young girl, so he didn't think much of it.

Long Yuyin's cheeks burned scarlet, the redness spreading all the way to the base of her neck. But after a moment, she gritted her teeth and slowly slid off her long dress, revealing her smooth, graceful shoulders. The silk gown drifted downward. A white silk band was wound tightly across her chest, yet it still couldn't hide the astonishing curves beneath—full and rounded.

It was hard to imagine what it would look like if that band were loosened.

Long Yuyin glanced up, lightly biting her pearly teeth. She hesitated for a moment, and when she saw that Nie Li still hadn't said anything, she reached up to untie the white silk band across her chest.

"Wait, that's enough!" Nie Li hastily stopped her, breaking into a cold sweat. This was already sufficient for the needlework—if she undid that white silk band too, things would get hard to handle.

Long Yuyin also pulled her hands back. She was still a bit nervous, but fortunately she wouldn't have to undo the band across her chest. That would have been far too embarrassing.

Nie Li walked over to Long Yuyin's side. Her skin glowed with a soft, luminous sheen under the lamplight. She had bound all her hair up with a pale blue cloth band, coiling it atop her head, lending her an altogether different kind of charm.

Nie Li picked up a long, slender needle and moved behind Long Yuyin. His gaze settled on her fair, white neck. Taking the fine needle, he slowly inserted it into the acupoint along the edge of her central spine.

"Mm." Long Yuyin let out a soft moan. Logically speaking, with a body strengthened by Scarlet Dragon bloodline, a needle this thin should have caused her absolutely no pain.

But the moment Nie Li's needle went in, Long Yuyin felt a searing wave of pain surge through her entire body—pain like ten thousand ants gnawing at every inch of her flesh.

Immediately after, a warm current began flowing outward from around her spine, spreading rapidly through her entire body, rushing into her four limbs and hundred meridians.

What astonishing power!

Long Yuyin could never have imagined that this kind of force had been hidden within her bloodline all along.

Nie Li took out a second needle and slowly inserted it into the acupoint along Long Yuyin's spine.

A third. A fourth. A fifth…

Before long, more than a dozen fine needles dotted Long Yuyin's body. A faint crimson flush spread across her skin as it grew burning hot, and tiny beads of sweat beaded on her flesh.

"I've placed golden needles across the Mingmen and other key acupoints. From here, the power of your Scarlet Dragon bloodline will gradually awaken and start surging through your hundred meridians. Focus on your cultivation here!" Nie Li said, letting out a long breath. It was finally done.

Administering the needle treatment to Long Yuyin had been extremely draining.

Nie Li glanced at Long Yuyin as she sat cross-legged in meditation, opened the door, and stepped outside, gently pulling it shut behind him.

Suddenly, a figure appeared at Nie Li's side. Startled, Nie Li looked over and saw it was .

"You scared the hell out of me. What kind of combat technique is that? You just materialize out of nowhere." Nie Li couldn't help but grumble. He hadn't been particularly on guard against Xiao Yu's presence, which was why Xiao Yu had gotten so close before he even noticed.

Xiao Yu's face was dark, his expression thoroughly displeased.

Seeing Xiao Yu in a foul mood, Nie Li asked, "What's wrong? Don't tell me you went back to the Greater World and got killed again?"

Xiao Yu shot Nie Li a glare and said in a low voice, "Nie Li—how can you do something like this? Have you no regard for Ning'er?"

"Do something like this? What are you talking about?" Nie Li froze for a moment, then suddenly realized what Xiao Yu meant and broke into a laugh. "You're talking about Long Yuyin? Haha, what on earth are you thinking? How is this any disrespect to Ning'er?"

"You know perfectly well what you've done!" Xiao Yu snorted coldly, turning his head away and walking off toward the outside.

"Hey, Xiao Yu, you've got it wrong!" Nie Li called out urgently at Xiao Yu's retreating back.

But Xiao Yu paid no attention whatsoever, quickly returning to his own room and slamming the door shut with a bang.

Nie Li stood there, stunned. What was up with Xiao Yu? He hadn't even given him a chance to explain! And besides, even if there was something to explain, it really wasn't Xiao Yu's place to meddle. Could it be that Xiao Yu had feelings for Long Yuyin? If so, then his outburst would make sense. But how many times had Xiao Yu and Long Yuyin even met?
