Chapter 222: Two Brothers

"Tsk tsk, I didn't expect your divine body to have condensed to such a pitiful degree. But that's fine — a body this small must have a rather unique flavor to play with!" the thin one said with a lecherous grin, his mind already conjuring images of gripping the curvaceous body of Goddess Yu Yan and having his way with her.

Goddess Yu Yan's face was cold as frost. Though her state of mind was rarely shaken these days, these two had still managed to enrage her.

"Lü Qiansha, Lü Qianmo, you two chased me all the way to the Black Spring, trying to seize my shattered divine fragment. You stood guard outside the Black Spring for all those years, and yet you're still alive! But today, even if I have to draw upon my life force, I will kill you!" Goddess Yu Yan fixed the two across from her with a frigid stare.

As she spoke, she transmitted her voice to Nie Li: "Nie Li, they're only at the peak of Legendary, but their physical bodies have been cast with curses and won't deteriorate. One of them is a Crimson Shark, and the other is a Ghost Lizard. I'm not entirely sure how powerful they've become since then, so be careful. If we can't handle them, I'll use my life force to hold them off — you all need to run!"

Goddess Yu Yan's divine body was still in the process of recondensing. If she burned her life force, it could take even longer before she could reforge her divine fragment.

Nie Li was actually somewhat moved by her words. After all, he had only just met Goddess Yu Yan. With her abilities, even if she couldn't defeat these two Demon Beasts, she could probably still escape.

"Are you two scheming about how to deal with us? Heh, stop putting up a futile struggle!" Lü Qiansha bared a cruel smile as he slowly closed in on Nie Li and the others. Unlike Lü Qianmo, he had no interest in women — he loved the thrill of tearing people apart.

Ye Ziyun, Duan Jian, and the rest were already braced for battle.

Sensing the overwhelming aura radiating from their opponents, Nie Li let out a deep shout: "Everyone, listen to my orders! Duan Jian, Luo Ming — you two hold off that skinny one. Everyone else, stay sharp and be careful!"

Though Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, and the others had all awakened their Soul Seas, they hadn't yet reached the Legendary realm. Joining the fight directly would be far too dangerous. Still, their side already had five Legendary-level fighters.

"Yes." Duan Jian didn't hesitate for a moment. He shot forward, swinging his Black Flame Sword as he lunged at the thin one across from them.

Luo Ming followed right behind him.

Nie Li glanced at Goddess Yu Yan and said, "Goddess, let's take out the chubbier one first!"

"Good," Goddess Yu Yan replied.

The moment he heard those words, Lü Qiansha erupted in fury — Nie Li was treating him as if he didn't even exist! "You think you can handle me? Fine! Let's see what you're made of!" Every muscle on his body bulged as he swung a massive fist straight toward Nie Li. With each flex of his cords, muffled sonic booms echoed from within.

Goddess Yu Yan swept her right hand forward, and a towering wall of flame materialized in front of Nie Li.

"If I were at my peak, I might have feared your Law of Fire. But now, I'm going to tear you to shreds!" Lü Qiansha roared. His thick arm tore straight through the fire wall. Two savage water dragons materialized out of thin air and plummeted toward Nie Li.

Nie Li's body suddenly bulked up as he transformed into the Tiger Fang Panda. The panda was nothing like before — dark and radiant law energy swirled around its body, and its frame had grown several sizes larger. Seeing the water dragons diving toward it, it opened its jaws and launched a Light-Dark Elemental Burst.

The Light-Dark Elemental Burst spiraled outward with a deafening boom, instantly shattering both water dragons into fragments.

Lü Qiansha's eyes widened in shock — that was both Light and Dark law energy! From a mere human child, no less! How could both of these law forces exist within a single person?

Ever since the battle of the spirit gods, Lü Qiansha and his kind had never stopped cultivating, trying to perceive law energy and seize the human spirit gods' powers. If they hadn't been so consumed with their training, they never would have let Yu Yan slip away so carelessly.

But no matter how they cultivated, mastering law energy was extraordinarily difficult. After countless ages of practice, they had only barely grasped the rudiments. Yet here was this human child who commanded two types of law energy at once!

Both Light and Dark law energy — things they had dreamed of obtaining for millennia!

What they couldn't get their hands on, this human child possessed. And not just one — two! It was absolutely intolerable!

Roar!

Lü Qiansha's eyes turned bloodshot. He swung his titanic fist at Nie Li. Though Nie Li's Tiger Fang Panda form was far more massive, it was anything but clumsy. He applied a gravity field to Lü Qiansha, then dodged sideways.

Boom!

Lü Qiansha's fist struck empty air and hammered into the ground, sending dirt and debris flying and leaving a massive crater.

In the instant before Lü Qiansha could recover, Nie Li opened his mouth and spat another Light-Dark Elemental Burst at him. Meanwhile, Goddess Yu Yan hadn't stopped either — she gathered a searing sphere of flame and slammed it down toward Lü Qiansha, sealing off his angle of retreat.
