Chapter 207: Ye Mo

The Nether Domain.

Nie Li and his group traveled through the darkness of the night, heading steadily toward the Nether Domain's exit. In the distant sky, dark shadows occasionally swept past—flocks of ghost bats.

After traveling for several days, as they neared the exit, Nie Li discovered that the distant plain was dotted with countless campfires and tents. Tens of thousands of powerhouses were encamped there.

A thought struck Nie Li—they were far too close to the Nether Domain's exit. Once through, it would be easy to find the City of Radiance. What were these people doing here?

"Could the three of you help me find out who these people are and what they're doing here?" Nie Li looked toward Luo Ming beside him, a growing unease settling in his heart.

"Young Master Nie Li, I'll go investigate. The other two will stay here to protect you!" Luo Ming thought for a moment before speaking. The idea of leaving Nie Li entirely unprotected made him uneasy.

"Good." Nie Li nodded.

Luo Ming gave instructions to the other two, then launched himself forward and vanished into the distance.

Nie Li and the other two waited quietly in place. After about half an hour, Luo Ming came hurtling back from the distance.

"They're all experts from the Wu Ghost Family. I hear they've discovered a place called the City of Radiance and recruited a large number of powerhouses. It seems they're preparing to head there." Luo Ming furrowed his brow. "Among the fifteen cities of the Nether Domain, there's no place called the City of Radiance."

Hearing Luo Ming's words, Nie Li's heart tightened. His worst fear had come true—the City of Radiance had been discovered by this family called the Wu Ghost Family.

A surge of intense urgency washed over him. The fifteen cities of the Nether Domain were teeming with powerhouses but desperately impoverished. Once they learned of a place as rich as the City of Radiance, wouldn't they be like wolves that had caught the scent of meat? Before long, the City of Radiance would be devoured until nothing remained. Even if they sealed that passage, the Nether Domain's people would simply dig out more.

Even with the Jade Seal Family's help, it would be nearly impossible to stop the wolves from swarming in.

The Dark Guild had known of the City of Radiance's existence for hundreds of years, yet its location had never been revealed to the powerhouses of the fifteen Nether Domain cities. Clearly, the Dark Guild had always regarded the City of Radiance as their own prize, unwilling to let anyone else lay a hand on it.

A secret kept for so many years, now leaked...

A thought flashed through Nie Li's mind—Ye Han! Ye Han had defected to the Wu Ghost Family. He alone was not a member of the Dark Guild. Could it be that Ye Han was the one who had leaked the information?

Before coming to the Nether Domain, Nie Li had never anticipated that such a vast world existed beneath the surface. Beyond the Dark Guild, there were so many intricate factions. He had originally thought that someone of Ye Han's limited ability, even with the Dark Guild backing him, posed no real threat to the City of Radiance. But everything had exceeded his expectations. Now, he had to find a solution as quickly as possible.

The various factions across the fifteen cities of the Nether Domain commanded numerous powerhouses, including many Sub-God-level existences. The Wu Ghost Family's ranking even surpassed that of the Jade Seal Family—they would be extraordinarily difficult to deal with!

With Nie Li's current strength, even activating the Myriad Demon Spirit Grand Formation would not necessarily guarantee the City of Radiance's safety.

"How many supreme powerhouses does the Wu Ghost Family have?" Nie Li looked to Luo Ming and the others.

"The Wu Ghost Family has three Sub-God-level experts and twenty-five Legendary-level experts." Luo Ming answered without holding anything back. Before setting out, Luo Xiao had instructed him to treat Nie Li as an honored guest. Though he didn't understand why Family Head Luo Xiao valued Nie Li so highly, he didn't dare show the slightest neglect.

"If the Wu Ghost Family wanted to conquer the City of Radiance, how many would they send?" Nie Li asked. Every problem had its solution—if the Wu Ghost Family was coming, he needed to think carefully about how to respond.

"The Wu Ghost Family has many enemies. The three Sub-God-level experts would likely stay behind to guard their headquarters, and they'd send at most a few Legendary-level powerhouses. It depends on what kind of place the City of Radiance turns out to be. Unless they're willing to abandon their base entirely, they won't commit their full forces."

Hearing Luo Ming's words, Nie Li's mind raced. The Wu Ghost Family had probably only recently learned of the City of Radiance's location. Mobilizing such a large force would take at least several weeks. Even at top speed, Nie Li himself would need seven or eight days or more to reach the City of Radiance. By the time the Wu Ghost Family's forces arrived, it would likely be over a month. Moreover, the Wu Ghost Family probably wouldn't dare act rashly at first—they still knew little about the City of Radiance's true strength and would likely send probing forces first.

Regardless, he needed to get back to the City of Radiance as soon as possible.

Nie Li gathered Luo Ming and the others, and together they raced toward the City of Radiance at full speed.
