But at this moment, he truly felt a sense of frustration, because he could clearly sense that this technique was not something he could block.
Blue Silver Grass—Entangle skill activated. Immediately after the entanglement, the third soul skill, Web Bind, followed. Tang San would not simply stand by and await his death; he would use every method he could think of to defeat the opponent before him.
The Blue Silver Grass touched the white full moon and silently shattered. The green glow of Web Bind shrouded it, only to disintegrate in an instant. Both skills failed to slow the opponent's advance by even a fraction.
Tang San understood that even if he deployed ten layers of Blue Silver Prison—his fourth soul skill—before himself, that rapidly spinning full moon would simply slice through all of them.
His eyes lit up. His body began to move—more precisely, his body began to spin as well. The eight Eight Spider Lances extending from his back all straightened, and in the midst of Tang San's rotation, they transformed into a whirlwind.
Tang San spun in the opposite direction to his opponent. In this moment, all of his Soul Power was concentrated in his Eight Spider Lances. He knew this was his final and only chance. At a time like this, no technique would serve him anymore.
All that mattered was a head-on collision between the two sides. The Excitement Pink Sausage—swallowed whole. Tang San was going to give everything he had.
BOOM—
Tang San's improvised vortex finally collided with the full moon. A countermeasure conceived on the spot crashing into the opponent's self-created skill—the outcome could be imagined. What's more, the opponent's Soul Power far exceeded his own.
The first Eight Spider Lance struck the Moon Blade, producing the first thunderous crack.
The full moon stalled for a brief instant, and within it, the fused bodies of Xie Yue and Hu Liena could faintly be seen. But Tang San spat out a mouthful of fresh blood as that first Eight Spider Lance shattered on impact.
The searing pain sent spasms through Tang San's spinning body, but he knew that stopping now was absolutely not an option. Drawing on that agonizing stimulus, his body actually spun even faster.
A second thunderous crack rang out. The two figures clashed, separated, and collided once more—the same scenario repeating itself. Another Eight Spider Lance shattered.
It had to be remembered that as an externally-attached soul bone, the Eight Spider Lances had long since become a part of Tang San's body, like his own bones. To have two of them crushed in succession—the pain he endured was immense.
The brutal collisions continued. The third, the fourth, the fifth—until the sixth Eight Spider Lance shattered upon impact, and only then did Xie Yue's self-created skill, Full Moon, begin to slow.
Next came the seventh. Tang San spat out his seventh mouthful of blood. At this point, his entire body was enveloped in a pinkish glow. Under the stimulation of the Excitement Pink Sausage, his Soul Power had been pushed to its absolute peak.
Only the last Eight Spider Lance remained. Xie Yue and Hu Liena's fused bodies could no longer fully conceal themselves within the moonlight, the Full Moon's speed having diminished enough to expose them.
With virtually everything he had left, Tang San swung out his final Eight Spider Lance.
This time there was no thunderous boom—only a piercing, grinding shriek. Tang San watched helplessly as his eighth Eight Spider Lance was sliced into segments by the relentless collision.
He knew better than anyone how hard the Eight Spider Lances were. All eight shattered, and Tang San's back was now stained red with blood—blood flowing from where the skin at the base of each lance had been torn open by the force. His face had turned completely pale.
But Tang San's resistance was not yet over. He had no ninth spider leg. However, he still had something else.
The Clear Sky Hammer—at the final moment of his spin, it finally appeared. It shot out from within Tang San's whirlwind body and smashed into the opponent's full moon with devastating force.
A piercing, grinding roar erupted, along with countless sparks exploding from the point of impact between the two sides.
The Clear Sky Hammer was launched into the air, and Tang San could finally sustain the violent rotation no longer. He was flung away with a heavy thud, crashing hard onto the ground.
And the spinning full moon, at last, ground to a halt under that final, crushing blow.
Xie Yue's expression was one of shock. When he had unleashed Full Moon, his intent had been to deliver a single killing strike to Tang San. But the resilience of the Eight Spider Lances had far exceeded his expectations. With every collision, Tang San lost one lance, yes—but Xie Yue's Soul Power was similarly consumed at a tremendous rate. In the end, that final collision with the Clear Sky Hammer was what made it impossible for him to continue his Full Moon technique.
