Chapter 292. The 'Earth King' and the 'Pink Lady' (Part 1)

January 17, 2020 · 4 min read · 785 words

Under the dumbfounded stares of the crowd, Liu Erlong — transformed into a Crimson Dragon — blazed with terrifying fury in her eyes. Facing the Earth King struggling desperately beneath her, she raised her front claw.

"Watch out!" the Great Master shouted from a distance, because from his vantage point he could clearly see the Earth King's long scorpion tail whipping upward.

Though the flames spewing from that tail couldn't possibly harm a fire-attribute Crimson Dragon, its raw striking power was formidable. After all, this was still a Soul Beast approaching five thousand years of cultivation.

Liu Erlong quickly showed everyone her brutal side. One rear claw remained planted on the Earth King's back while the other rear claw shot up and came crashing down — BOOM — driving the creature's entire tail into the ground. The crimson stinger trembled feebly but could no longer whip free.

In terms of sheer strength, this thousand-year Soul Beast was absolutely no match for Liu Erlong.

Her raised front claw came slamming down at the same time, slapping the Earth King square on the head. Liu Erlong let out a vicious roar: "I told you not to ruin my business!"

The Earth King's shrill screech cut off abruptly. Now only its two massive front pincers remained above ground.

"I swear, if I don't play you to death today, my name isn't Liu Erlong!"

BOOM. BOOM—

She wasn't using any skills whatsoever. Right now, Liu Erlong was relying solely on the raw brute force of her Crimson Dragon true form. Both front claws smashed directly onto the Earth King's pincers without hesitation, then scraped downward, landing precisely on the joints connecting the pincers to the body.

A horrifying cracking sound rang out. The Earth King's head and tail thrashed violently at the same time, but Liu Erlong's strength was simply too overwhelming — no matter how desperately it struggled, escape was impossible.

With two wet, tearing sounds, both enormous scorpion pincers were ripped clean off by Liu Erlong's bare claws, and dark red blood sprayed into the air.

But for Liu Erlong, this was only the beginning.

Under the stunned gazes of the onlookers, Liu Erlong's massive body twisted around. One front claw seized the Earth King's tail stinger — and it was worth noting that this stinger was the Earth King's most powerful weapon, not only extraordinarily hard but also searingly hot.

Only a terrifying fire-attribute Soul Master like Liu Erlong would dare grab it directly with her bare claw.

The next instant, Liu Erlong leaped off the Earth King's back. Of course, this wasn't to let it go.

With a flick of her front claw, she swung the Earth King — still embedded in the ground — into the air, then smashed it back down hard.

In Liu Erlong's grip, the Earth King was nothing but a tattered sack, being hurled up and slammed down again and again.

The sheer brutality of the scene made everyone's stomachs clench. Even someone as composed as Tang San couldn't help but want to ask his teacher — is she... really human?

Right now, none of the Shrek Seven Devils dared step forward to persuade Liu Erlong that this Soul Beast was still useful to keep alive.

After several more slams, apparently finding it tedious now that the Earth King had completely lost the ability to resist, Liu Erlong finally stopped. Just when everyone thought the violent display was over, they heard her muttering under her breath: "You ruined my business... you just had to show up at this exact moment..."

With each mutter, another piece of the Earth King disappeared under her dragon claws — first the slender, mutated scorpion legs, then the bony segments of its tail. In short order, what should have been a rather formidable Soul Beast had been reduced to nothing but a head and torso, surrounded by scattered remains and sprayed blood.

Yet the Earth King's vitality was truly extraordinary. Even now, it still clung to a single breath of life.

With a flick of her dragon claw, Liu Erlong sent the Earth King's body arcing through the air before it crashed heavily to the ground right in front of the Shrek Seven Devils. "Here — little fatty, it's yours. You're fire-attribute too, so it suits you perfectly."

The instant the Earth King hit the ground, the Shrek Seven Devils nearly all took a step back at the same time. The three girls had gone pale from the gory spectacle before them — if not for the Great Master's previous rigorous training, they would likely have vomited on the spot.

"G-Give it to... me?" Ma Hongjun stared at the terrifying Crimson Dragon and asked tentatively.
