As high-ranking beings of the Divine Realm, Fallen Angels were innately far superior to ordinary creatures, and were said to be unmatched among those of the same tier.
Even a fifth-tier Class expert who had mastered a fifth-tier forbidden skill could only flee for their life in the presence of a fifth-tier Fallen Angel.
"This time I'm really dead."
Shi Feng looked up at the Fallen Angel hovering in midair, and could only manage a bitter smile.
He might have been able to escape from a fourth-tier Archdemon, but against a fifth-tier Fallen Angel, he had absolutely no power to resist. The Fallen Angel's fifth-tier domain formed its own self-contained space, rendering even the teleportation skill of the Ring of Seven Luminaries useless — to say nothing of any other means.
In terms of speed, he couldn't even compare to a fourth-tier Archdemon, let alone a fifth-tier Fallen Angel.
After all, the fourth-tier Archdemon Knetel was utterly insignificant before a fifth-tier Fallen Angel.
"Humans — it seems you have quite the nerve. A mere first-tier Swordsman, yet you dare steal the Ring of Morlock that Knetel has been guarding." A trace of mockery surfaced in the Fallen Angel's indifferent expression, like a child who had just received a new toy.
Before Shi Feng could even react, the Fallen Angel vanished from midair. By the time his mind caught up, the bewitchingly beautiful Fallen Angel was already standing before him. A single flawless jade-like hand pierced straight through Shi Feng's chest.
Over ten thousand hit points were wiped to zero in an instant.
"So this is the power of a fifth-tier Fallen Angel?" Shi Feng watched his health drain away at alarming speed, his mind shaken to its core.
In both speed and power, it far exceeded any fifth-tier player he had ever seen. But what truly inspired terror was the Fallen Angel's combat level — every movement was completely natural and refined, without a single superfluous motion. No wonder every expert who spoke of Fallen Angels did so with a deep sense of dread.
Although Shi Feng had reached the second stage of the Domain of Finesse — the Flowing Water Domain — and his control over his own body was beyond what any ordinary person could achieve, he still couldn't make every single movement perfect. Only by reaching the true Domain realm could one achieve that level of flawlessness.
But how many people in the Divine Realm could ever reach the Domain realm?
At the moment, Shi Feng was actually grateful that the Fallen Angel hadn't used any special techniques to kill him. It had simply dispatched him with a plain attack. That meant he would only lose one level and some skill proficiency. Moreover, when a player was killed by a monster, they wouldn't drop any equipment — unless it was a special item that was guaranteed to drop upon death.
"What happened?" Shi Feng opened his eyes again and suddenly realized that he had respawned inside the Dark Cavern once more. However, the respawn point was much farther from the towering mountain. Running back would take at least half an hour.
Normally, when you entered a special map and died, you would be sent back to town to respawn. He had been killed by a fifth-tier Fallen Angel, so by all rights he should have respawned in town — yet here he was, respawned in the middle of nowhere.
Shi Feng quickly opened his character panel and checked his stats and backpack.
"Good. Only lost one level and some skill proficiency." After reviewing the system window, Shi Feng let out a breath of relief. Whether he was level 33 or 32 made no real difference to him. "But what exactly is going on?"
Shi Feng surveyed his surroundings and noticed that a golden road stretched across an endless plain. Countless monsters were traveling along this golden road toward the towering mountain.
The monsters varied wildly in level — the lowest were around level 10, while the highest exceeded level 100. Their numbers surpassed a hundred thousand.
Moreover, the races represented were incredibly diverse. The majority had no affiliation with the forces of darkness. Shi Feng even spotted human NPCs among them — not dark-aligned NPCs, but more like wilderness adventurers. Their levels ranged from 10 to 100.
"Why are there so many human NPCs here?" Shi Feng was inwardly alarmed, but he didn't stop moving. Instead, he quietly fell in and followed along.
