"How is this plot of land sold?"
Shi Feng suppressed the excitement in his heart and pointed at the deep-blue premium land on the map as he asked.
Deep-blue premium land was extremely precious even for superpowers, because premium land was fundamentally different from ordinary plots — the player held absolute control and complete freedom over it.
This total freedom was just like a guild town. There was no restriction to shops, guild headquarters, or private residences. Building an Auction House or an arena was entirely possible.
That said, building an arena in an NPC town was a foolish move. There was no money to be made from it.
After all, NPC towns had virtually no magic power. An arena built there would serve no purpose.
The real way to use premium land was the Auction House!
Ordinary plots couldn't support the construction of an Auction House, and small NPC towns didn't have Auction Houses — those only existed in NPC cities. NPC cities had teleportation halls that let people travel anywhere with ease, making them far more convenient than guild towns.
Of course, an Auction House built by players still wasn't particularly appealing to them, since NPC cities already had Auction Houses that could connect to other cities, while a player-built Auction House could only link to its own guild's auctions. There was no real advantage there.
However, there was one advantage that player-built Auction Houses had which NPC city auctions absolutely could not match — the currency of trade.
This currency wasn't limited to gold. Players could also use Credit Points or Magic Crystals as payment.
In the Divine Realm, many players wanted to earn money through the game, but trading between Divine Realm items and Credit Points was troublesome. Usually it only happened in large-scale transactions — things like trading top-tier weapons and equipment or blueprints. Small-scale trades by ordinary players? Nobody could be bothered.
After all, trading a single rare herb or rare material was more trouble than it was worth.
But a player-built Auction House was different. It was perfectly suited for the kind of small transactions ordinary players wanted to make. For guilds, they could collect transaction fees and earn a decent amount of Credit Points. If the trading volume was high enough, the daily revenue would make even superpowers green with envy. Of course, reaching that level based on a single Auction House in one NPC town was simply not possible.
Still, small amounts added up — especially if an Auction House was built early on. It could still bring in substantial profits.
Moreover, compared to Auction Houses in guild towns, those in NPC towns were far more popular, because teleportation was convenient. Traveling to a guild town was a hassle, but players in the Purple Thorn Kingdom could teleport directly to Glory Stone Fortress from any NPC town or city. As a result, NPC-town Auction Houses were generally much more popular than their guild-town counterparts.
"Honored inheritor of Bronze, this plot of land is rather special. In addition to fourteen thousand gold, it also requires three hundred magic crystals and three hundred pure magic cores," the NPC elder steward said slowly.
"Magic crystals and pure magic cores?" Shi Feng breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
Premium land required not only a large amount of gold but also other resources as part of the transaction. It wasn't simply a matter of having enough money.
But this time, the resources required weren't too rare or precious.
Magic crystals could be synthesized from Magic Crystals, and pure magic cores could be obtained by defeating Grand Lord-level magical beasts above level fifty. Neither of these would be difficult for the Zero Wing Guild to acquire.
