When Shi Feng, Unfalling War Heart, and the others emerged from the Cold Jade Waterfall, every member of the Crimson Emperor guild was stunned into silence for a long moment.
They had witnessed the Void Demon Snake's power firsthand. When they had fled the cavern, the situation inside had already looked dire — void creatures had swarmed every inch of the space. Even though they had cut their way out early, they had still lost several people along the way. Only after they had fully escaped the cavern did those void creatures finally give up the chase.
But now, judging by the number of people emerging from the waterfall alongside Shi Feng and Unfalling War Heart, there were actually more than when they had originally left the cavern.
And among these people, there were even Crimson Emperor guild elites…
"Could it be that they actually conquered the Void Demon Snake?"
An almost unbelievable thought suddenly surfaced in Huanyu's mind. She didn't actually believe that Shi Feng's group could have succeeded, yet the scene before her forced her to consider it — there was simply no other way to explain what she was seeing.
Shortly afterward, Huanyu received a message from Crimson Emperor members who had walked out of the cavern.
While they had been inside the cavern, they had been completely cut off from the outside world. Even after respawning, they had been unable to send any messages outward. So the moment they emerged, they had immediately relayed to Huanyu the outcome of the Void Demon Snake battle.
The message detailed not only the fact that Zero Wing had conquered the Void Demon Snake, but also the rich loot it had dropped. Among the spoils, Unfalling War Heart had purchased quite a number of the Void Demon Snake's drop items from Zero Wing.
"So this is why Unfalling War Heart insisted on fighting to the bitter end…" Huanyu muttered with a wry smile as she read the message from her subordinate.
She didn't know exactly how many drop items Unfalling War Heart had bought from Zero Wing, but a world-class boss like the Void Demon Snake — its drops couldn't possibly be anything less than extraordinary.
Zero Wing might not sell their best weapons and equipment to Unfalling War Soul, but even selling second-tier gear would be a tremendous boon for the guild. At the very least, it would substantially boost the combat power of their raid teams.
"Vice Commander, what if we also offer a high price to Zero Wing for the Void Demon Snake's drops? We contributed our share and suffered considerable casualties — surely Zero Wing should be willing to sell us some of the loot," the Swift Light Mage whispered from her side.
With the Void Demon Snake being so powerful, its drops had to be exceptional. There could easily be a whole pile of top-tier Level 60 equipment among them. Any single Level 60 weapon or piece of armor would surpass what even their top experts currently had equipped. If they could get their hands on such gear, the main raid teams' future runs through the major Hell Difficulty hundred-man dungeons would become far more manageable.
"Forget it — even if we asked, it would probably be useless. After all, we never made a direct offer like Unfalling War Heart did before. There's no way Zero Wing would sell us those drops." Huanyu shook her head and sighed, a trace of envy in her voice. "I have to admit — this time, Unfalling War Heart bet on the right horse."
Although she felt some regret over her earlier choices, the trip here hadn't been a total loss for her.
At the very least, she now understood that Zero Wing was far more than what everyone had assumed.
With that, Huanyu led her people over to Shi Feng and the others, stepping forward to congratulate him on defeating a world-class boss like the Void Demon Snake.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Huanyu steered the conversation toward the Drunken Tiger Meat and Cold Bone Soup.
"Guild Master Black Flame, I was wondering — do you still have any of that Drunken Tiger Meat and Cold Bone Soup you produced earlier? Crimson Emperor would like to purchase one thousand portions of each at a price of five gold per portion," Huanyu said at an unhurried pace.
She had already given up on the Void Demon Snake's drops — after all, Unfalling War Soul had earned that opportunity with their lives on the line. But the Master-grade cuisine Shi Feng had produced earlier was a different matter entirely. She had never seen anything like Master-grade cuisine before.
While its effects might not quite match those of Master-grade potions, the fact that it could stack with Master-grade potions without being suppressed by a world-class boss's aura made it significantly more valuable in practice. Moreover, it would considerably ease the burden when raiding team dungeons.
