Chapter 1875: The Guild Leader of Zero Wing

January 17, 2020 · 4 min read · 846 words

Watching the two grievously wounded evil dragons glare ferociously at the Hell Chariots, everyone present was momentarily stunned.

"Incredible! Those Hell Chariots are absolutely incredible!"

"The evil dragons are hurt! Now we have a chance to win!"

"If the guild could let us trade for Hell Chariots, I'd go bankrupt to get one. They're seriously overpowered — even dragons can't do anything to them. If I could drive one out into the wilderness for leveling, I'd be unstoppable anywhere."

The members of Zero Wing stared at the two evil dragons that had crashed to the ground and erupted in cheers.

They had thought they were doomed, yet the Hell Chariots had proven to be not only overwhelmingly powerful against players, but capable of going toe-to-toe with terrifying evil dragons as well.

Third-tier Primeval species!

Even a team of a hundred experts would have to get out of the way when encountering such monsters. Yet the Hell Chariots could hold their own. If they could drive Hell Chariots out into the wilderness, they would be truly invincible.

Just thinking about it made them giddy with excitement.

Meanwhile, inside the Dark Witch's Tower, Shen Yin and her companions wore expressions as dark as a storm cloud.

They had witnessed the evil dragons' power firsthand. With that kind of speed and destructive force, dealing with war machines should have been child's play. But now…

"Where on earth did the Zero Wing Guild get these chariots? Their defense is so formidable that even third-tier Primeval species can't break through?" Shen Yin gazed at the Hell Chariots, a flicker of envy and disbelief in her eyes.

She had never even heard of war weapons like these before. In her memory, war machines possessed nothing but raw destructive power.

But the Hell Chariots boasted both devastating offensive capability and defense that bordered on heaven-defying.

You could say the Hell Chariots were practically divine artifacts on the battlefield!

And such battlefield divine artifacts had actually fallen into Zero Wing's hands…

"You two, pull back and maintain distance from those chariots! Their speed and reaction time can't compare to yours. As long as you fight at range, those chariots can't touch you!" After his initial shock, Chen Yuan immediately ordered the two to leverage the evil dragons' advantages and target the Hell Chariots' weaknesses.

After all, Hell Chariots were machines, not player bodies. Not only were they cumbersome to control, their reactions were sluggish as well.

Players inhabiting evil dragon bodies were a completely different story. Not only were they agile, they were incredibly fast. With the evil dragons' power, they could absolutely toy with the Hell Chariots, which had defense but virtually no speed — it would just take a little time.

Both evil dragon players were experts in their own right. Earlier, they had been too stunned by the Hell Chariots' defense, which gave the chariots an opening to counterattack. Now that they had recovered, and with Chen Yuan's orders, they immediately launched a ranged assault on the Hell Chariots.

The evil dragons' greatest weapons were their roars and claws, but their ability to control wind at range was nothing to scoff at. The storm blades generated by flapping their wings carried full third-tier power. Against Hell Chariots that couldn't fly and had sluggish reactions, this gave them an overwhelming advantage.

"They caught on that quickly, did they?" Shi Feng watched the evil dragons maintain their distance and attack only with storm blades, and clicked his tongue. "Too bad the Hell Chariots' Hellfire Cannons only reach peak third-tier power, so they can't deal serious damage to these evil dragons. Otherwise, that last exchange could have already ended the fight."

"Guild Leader, what do we do next?" asked the engineer player controlling the Hell Chariots. "If this keeps up, we'll be worn down to nothing."

Because the evil dragons kept their distance, the Hell Chariots' lances of flame were easily dodged and blocked by the evil dragons' superior speed and reactions. There was nothing they could do. On the contrary, the Hell Chariots kept getting hit by the storm blades. It wasn't that the chariots were slow — it was that the time between a player spotting an incoming storm blade and maneuvering the chariot to dodge was simply too long, and by then there was no escaping.

With the storm blades continuously bombarding them, the Hell Chariots' durability was dropping bit by bit. Being ground to destruction was only a matter of time.

"It looks like the Hell Chariots alone won't be enough to defeat these two evil dragons." Shi Feng pondered for a moment, then issued his orders. "All chariots, converge and form a defensive formation to hold off the evil dragons' attacks. Wait for the Hellfire Cannons' cooldown to end, then on my command — concentrated fire on both evil dragons!"

Following Shi Feng's command, the six Hell Chariots circled up into a defensive formation. The concentrated lances of flame prevented the two evil dragon players from attacking freely, significantly slowing the rate at which the chariots were losing durability.
