"So fast!"
The Dark Hunters watched as Bai Qingxue launched her fierce assault on Black Shark, each of them shocked to their core.
Her speed was terrifying — she had broken through their defensive perimeter in an instant and was charging straight for their guild leader, Black Shark. Sixteen sword lights lanced toward him from every direction, striking at angles that made them virtually impossible to block for a Ranger.
"Trying to kill me?"
Black Shark watched the sixteen streaks of sword light bearing down on him, contempt flickering in his eyes.
Just as the sword lights were about to land, Black Shark swept the ancient bow in his hands. A layer of circulating wind enveloped his entire body, and all sixteen streaks of sword light skimmed past him like water flowing around a stone, without so much as scratching him.
Second-tier skill: Wind Armor!
Even Bai Qingxue's twin swords, cleaving directly at him, couldn't wound Black Shark in the slightest — though Black Shark couldn't mount any counterattack of his own, either.
The moment the Wind Armor was about to fade, Black Shark abruptly activated a backward leap, vaulting into midair. In the same instant, the ancient bow in his hands fired five arrows that fused into a pentagram magic formation, hurtling toward Bai Qingxue like a comet bearing down with crushing force.
Second-tier skill: Star Burst!
This was the most powerful second-tier skill a Ranger could wield. The combined force of all five arrows could knock back a Great Overlord of the same level.
But Bai Qingxue didn't even bother dodging. She swung her weapon — Radiant Will — directly at the incoming Star Burst.
Light of Will!
Radiant Will, empowered by the Light of Will, erupted with a brilliant golden radiance and transformed into a streak of sword light that clashed head-on with the Star Burst.
Boom!
With a thunderous detonation, the Star Burst was cleaved cleanly in two on the spot, leaving every spectator dumbfounded.
From a distance it looked as though one beam of light had simply sliced through another — the spectacle was dazzlingly beautiful, and the resulting shockwave shook everyone to their bones.
Wherever the sword light passed, not a single blade of grass survived. The ground was split open with a deep gash, and the six first-tier dragonmen caught in the blast were instantly reduced to ash and scattered to nothing. The sheer destructive power was enough to make one's heart tremble.
"How is that possible? Didn't she just use that skill once already?"
"Could it be a bug?"
Several sharp-eyed players quickly recognized it as the same skill Bai Qingxue had used to protect Zero Wing's Shield Warriors earlier. A skill that powerful should normally have a lengthy cooldown — even a short one couldn't possibly be only a few seconds.
But before anyone could figure it out, Bai Qingxue had already swung another strike at Black Shark.
Golden radiance bloomed once more, leaving Black Shark — who had just about to land — no room to dodge.
Black Shark's brow furrowed slightly as he saw the incoming sword light. He drew the ancient bow again, but this time no physical arrow materialized — he pulled an empty string.
Yet as the string vibrated, terrifying magic power instantly coalesced into a bolt of pure light, tearing through the air with a deafening sonic boom and slamming into the sword light.
This time, the sword light didn't split the arrow of light in two like before. Instead, the arrow of light shattered the sword light and continued streaking toward Bai Qingxue.
"Die!" Black Shark's lips curled into a cold smirk as the arrow closed to within ten yards.
This was no Ranger skill — it was Sky-Piercing Arrow, an ability intrinsic to his ancient bow. It could forcibly elevate its power by an entire tier, and even against a superior Great Overlord of the same level, it could inflict devastating damage.
In the blink of an eye, the single bolt of light split into over thirty smaller light arrows, raining down toward Bai Qingxue like a downpour.
Even Bai Qingxue felt a twinge of helplessness at the dense curtain of light arrows, and every Dark Hunter nearby lit up with the dawn of victory.
They knew exactly how devastating their guild leader's technique was. Each of those smaller arrows carried one hundred percent of a player's full strength. Against so many of them, even a few hits would shred one's HP — only the formidable defense and health pool of a dragonman could barely keep someone alive.
