After drawing Faust's attention, the rest of Shi Feng's work focused on the Golden Fish.
These Level 20 special elite Golden Fish drifted through the brilliant galaxy suspended in midair, hovering at heights of roughly 25 to 35 yards. Ordinary melee classes couldn't even reach them, let alone the fact that their scales were as hard as diamond—dealing more than a hundred points of damage in a single hit was simply impossible.
On top of that, the Golden Fish possessed extremely high magic resistance, reducing magical damage by roughly 40%, and they darted through the galaxy at tremendous speed, making them incredibly difficult to hit.
These two factors meant that even when players stumbled upon the Star River Basin, they walked away with nothing.
The Divine Realm differed from other games in one major way—there were countless field encounters and hidden opportunities that could catapult a player to new heights. Shi Feng had seen plenty of players who'd struck it big that way.
Though the Divine Realm held many such opportunities, stumbling upon one didn't guarantee a reward. Whether you could claim it depended entirely on your own ability.
"Hei Zi, Jimo—take these." Shi Feng pulled two Basic Frost Grenades from his inventory and handed them over.
He'd used up quite a few Frost Grenades while obtaining the Ice Blue Demonic Flame, leaving him with only a dozen or so. Still, that was more than enough for the Golden Fish.
"Wow, these Frost Grenades are insane! They're practically cheating for both PvP and grinding. If you could use them infinitely, your leveling speed would be off the charts—nobody could compete." Hei Zi read the description of the Frost Grenade and nearly dropped his jaw.
Just imagining using these Frost Grenades to mass-grind Level 30 monsters—he'd probably gain a level every few minutes. What would the Martial Alliance matter then? A simple level gap alone would crush them.
"If only we had more. Next time we run into an ambush or a PvP fight, we wouldn't even need skills. Drop a dozen Frost Grenades and every last one of them would be dead. But with effects this good, they must be incredibly rare and valuable," Jimo Ruxue said with a hint of regret.
"Exactly. A powerhouse item like this—having a few to save your life in a pinch is already more than enough, let alone using them for grinding or PvP." The more Hei Zi looked at the Frost Grenade, the more reluctant he became. With this thing in hand, it could save his life at a critical moment.
Shi Feng just chuckled. He pulled out a Frost Grenade of his own and looked at the Golden Fish swimming through the galaxy above. "Enough chatting. When I count to three, we'll hit the Golden Fish with the Frost Grenades together."
Hei Zi and Jimo Ruxue stared at the Frost Grenades in their hands, visibly torn.
"Brother Feng, using Frost Grenades on Golden Fish is such a waste. They've got a hundred thousand HP—200 points of damage is meaningless. And these things can save your life at a crucial moment. It'd be a shame to waste them now."
"Yeah. Captain."
Both of them started trying to talk him out of it. In their eyes, what Shi Feng was doing was practically burning money.
Shi Feng didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he heard that.
He'd literally used Frost Grenades to grind from Level 9 all the way up…
"Don't worry about it—I've still got plenty. In a little while, every member of the squad will get thirty each." Shi Feng grinned.
Both of them froze, thinking they'd misheard. These incredibly precious Frost Grenades—and Shi Feng was going to give each of them thirty? That was insane. Next time they ran into those bastards from the Martial Alliance, with Frost Grenades providing crowd control, they'd be wiped out in no time.
With Shi Feng's reassurance, the two finally obeyed his order and hurled their Frost Grenades at the Golden Fish hovering in midair.
Boom!
The Frost Grenade detonated in the galaxy. Even though the Golden Fish were excellent at dodging, the grenade's blast radius was enormous—some inevitably got caught and frozen in place, popping up strings of damage numbers exceeding a hundred.
Faust, sitting cross-legged in midair with his fishing rod, stroked his white beard and nodded. "Not bad. It seems you've got some skill—actually managing to deal damage to the Golden Fish."
