After reading
The curious tourists were still gathered around the back door. The bravest of them — Little Ghost — slowly made his way into the classroom. "That student was standing right in the middle of the classroom just now. You all saw it too, right?"
Ghost Girl nodded. "There has to be a secret passage. It's dark in here, and with all this junk piled up, there are plenty of places to hide."
After speaking, she glanced around. "Have you noticed this classroom is different from the others? There's so much more stuff in here — it's like a storage room."
This classroom was indeed unusual. Red symbols were drawn on the blackboard, every desk was covered with densely packed characters, and the drawers were stuffed with bulging schoolbags. Some bags were stained with dark reddish-black blotches, while others had hair-like strands peeking out through the gaps in their zippers.
Beside the desks, deep blue curtains covered the windows tightly, but beneath them there were human-shaped bulges.
On the walls hung eerie portraits of unknown figures — but stare at them long enough and you'd feel the painted eyes following your every move.
Overhead, a decrepit fan turned slowly. White cloth was wound around its blades, and it creaked with every rotation, as though it could fall at any moment.
Scattered across the floor were all manner of scraps of paper, and if you looked carefully, you'd notice a large quantity of white paper funeral money mixed among them.
The things mentioned above were relatively normal. The most attention-grabbing part of the classroom was the front rows.
Next to the lectern sat an old box-style television. No power cord was visible anywhere, yet the indicator light on the TV stayed lit.
On the other side of the lectern, behind the classroom door, stood a mirror as tall as an adult. The mirror reflected the eerie, terrifying classroom perfectly.
"I've read ghost stories like this," Big Ghost said calmly. "Apparently, every school's old campus has one classroom that's never opened. It's filled with junk, and the school claims it's been converted into a storage room — but in reality, it's because someone died in there." He looked around and added, "Perhaps more than one person."
"Right. I feel like every object in here hides a story."
While the group was still discussing, the television next to the lectern suddenly turned on by itself.
The screen, full of black-and-white static, emitted a harsh, garbled noise — as though many people were talking at once, but the old equipment distorted the sound beyond recognition.
"Is the haunted house actor controlling it?"
After flickering several times, the screen stabilized, and black-and-white images began to appear on the TV.
"There seem to be words on the screen?"
"What does it say?"
"Let's go take a look together. Remember to bring the camera."
Everyone except Bai Buhui carefully approached the television inside the classroom.
"Have you found the haunted house actor yet? Don't waste time — come out now!" Bai Buhui was outside on his own. As he spoke, he couldn't help glancing toward where Old Zhou and Duan Yue were standing. When he realized they were far from him, he grew even more convinced that Old Zhou and Duan Yue were tourists. If the two of them were haunted house actors, now would be the perfect time to make their move.
"Take your time. This classroom is special — it might be hiding something we're looking for." Little Ghost looked at the TV screen, where a line of text had appeared — Tonight, something strange happened at this school. The student who was already dead — he's come back.
The words on the screen slowly materialized, without any embellishment, yet they gave every viewer a bone-chilling sensation.
While Big Ghost and Little Ghost were staring intently at the TV, the screen suddenly flickered, and the image on the television turned into the classroom itself — their figures were all visible on the screen.
"Is there a hidden camera?" Little Ghost reacted quickly, but searching based on the camera angle, he couldn't find any surveillance device.
"How is that possible?"
