Chapter 329: The Sedan Ghost
January 17, 2020 · 3 min read · 692 words
In the blink of an eye, several shadows had already materialized in front of Chen Ge. Their expressions varied—some curious, some fierce, some cunning, and others trembling with fear, afraid even of themselves.
The ghostly shadows loomed thick, making the old mansion several times more terrifying than before!
Chen Ge put away the comic and pointed at the groom ahead. The situation reversed in an instant as dark figures closed in on the groom from every direction.
"Time to eat."
Giving the order, Chen Ge picked up the Skull Crusher and charged in at the forefront.
The battle was unfair from the very start. The groom was somewhat stronger than an ordinary ghost, but no matter how strong he was, he couldn't fight off everyone at once. The wounds on his body multiplied, and his form grew increasingly translucent.
On the verge of collapse, the groom ghost deliberately drifted toward the female ghost's side, seemingly hoping to seek help from his wife.
At that moment, Xu Yin and the woman in the wedding dress were locked in a ferocious struggle, completely unable to spare any attention for him.
Chen Ge seized the opportunity and attacked relentlessly. The groom was already injured—Xu Yin had torn off one of his arms—and now he could barely hold on as ghost after ghost sank their teeth into him.
He tried to dodge, but the doors of the main hall were sealed tight. The space was limited, and there was nowhere to hide.
"There are real advantages to having numbers on your side." Chen Ge charged forward and shouted a couple of times to dispel his employees' concerns, then stepped back. The ghostly shadows were more than enough to handle the groom.
After a dozen or so seconds, the groom—who had lured Chen Ge into the house by using himself as bait—was finally devoured by Chen Ge's subordinates.
"Stop staring and go help Xu Yin!" Chen Ge issued another command, but of all the ghostly shadows, only the fat one formed from the stench shuffled over. The rest took one look at the brutal scene of Xu Yin and the female ghost tearing into each other and shrank back as far as they could.
"Don't dawdle! All of you, get in there!"
Xu Yin had been brutally murdered by the person he loved most, and his death was especially horrific. He harbored immense resentment and unwillingness, and after continuously devouring numerous ghosts, he had only just managed to fight the woman in the wedding dress to a standstill.
"That female ghost possesses a formidable ability, and her strength is genuinely terrifying. It would be great if she could become an employee of the Horror House." Chen Ge felt that the woman in the wedding dress and the haunted wedding scene were a perfect match, so he was tempted.
But after a moment's thought, he reconsidered. The female ghost was filled with hatred, her gaze dripping with malice. The obsession burning in her heart was most likely vengeance for her family.
Fulfilling that obsession would require eliminating the red-dressed ghost who had been thrown into the well—a task far too difficult for Chen Ge.
"Employees in the Horror House must obey orders one hundred percent and never harm visitors. This one's resentment runs too deep to be resolved. Even if I forced her to come back, she'd only cause more trouble." Chen Ge was not the type to waver. He decisively ordered the other ghostly shadows to coordinate with Xu Yin and strike together.
"Rest in peace. If you hadn't provoked me in the first place, I would never have come for you."
Red threads soaked through with Xu Yin's blood—under the combined assault of the ghostly shadows, the woman in the wedding dress finally gave Xu Yin an opening.
The old mansion echoed with ghostly wailing and howling. After several minutes, everything returned to silence.
Worried about disturbing Xu Yin, Chen Ge restrained the other shadows.
The female ghost in the wedding dress was devoured by Xu Yin alone. The red threads on the ground lost their color, and the once-vibrant wedding dress turned worn and tattered.
