"Since you're already out for some fresh air, why don't we go pull off something bigger?"
Chen Ge glanced back at Zhang Ya. This red-clothed malicious ghost seemed to have grown much stronger again. Her clothes looked as though they'd been stitched together with red thread, giving them a startlingly realistic feel.
Zhang Ya kept her head down the entire time. She pressed herself very close to Chen Ge, her flowing black hair occasionally brushing against his arm. The hem of her red dress — resembling something made of blood vessels — seemed unable to stop itself from burrowing into Chen Ge's body.
The scene was more than a little terrifying. Chen Ge hadn't anticipated such dramatic changes in Zhang Ya.
In fact, the moment he'd clamped a hand over Zhu Xiu's mouth, the black phone had sent him a notification. Zhang Ya's favorability had broken through to "Uncontrollable," and was now very close to the next tier.
Her affection was like a water tank on the verge of overflowing. Zhang Ya's little movements seemed to be expressing exactly how she felt.
*Do you like ghosts? If you don't, then I'll turn everyone you care about into ghosts. Of course, that includes you.*
Thread-like veins and black hair wound gently around Chen Ge's joints, and a chill spread throughout his entire body.
He turned to look at Zhang Ya, but she simply maintained a look of complete innocence, as though she knew nothing at all — just following behind him.
*I sense killing intent. I need to redirect her attention.*
Chen Ge pressed the button for the 23rd floor. He decided to make another trip to the 24th floor.
He didn't actually want to be this reckless. The main reason was that he'd realized something.
Usually, after Zhang Ya emerged from his shadow, she would voluntarily return on her own. But this time, she showed absolutely no intention of going back!
He was worried that if he didn't find something for Zhang Ya to do, she might turn on him.
Love and hate were both extreme emotions. The way Zhang Ya looked at him was oddly ambiguous, as though she was debating whether to turn him into a puppet too.
After all, that way they could be together forever.
The silver-gray elevator doors slowly closed. The hairs on the back of Chen Ge's neck stood on end. He was now rather eager to go see the other members. Perhaps this was what friendship really was — sharing blessings and suffering alike.
Getting to the 24th floor required a somewhat complicated method. Chen Ge stood in the corner of the elevator, turned his back to Zhang Ya, and took out the black phone.
The elevator rose and fell between floors. Chen Ge swiped through the screen and tapped open the notification.
"Resolve the final obsession. Zhang Ya's favorability has reached 'Uncontrollable'!"

The information on the screen left Chen Ge stunned. He hadn't expected that the Western Suburb Private Academy was a three-star horror scenario — and he certainly hadn't expected that Zhang Ya was connected to five of its seven minor scenes!
