"Bu Xiao has also set her sights on these children chosen by the Underworld Fetus. I need to pick up the pace."
After glancing at the time on his phone, Chen Ge didn't linger outside the child's home for long. He took a taxi to the park Fang Yu often visited.
The road had been sealed off, and the park's perimeter was blocked by blue metal barriers. From more than ten meters away, Chen Ge spotted Fang Yu standing alone outside the park.
"She really did come here again."
After paying the fare, Chen Ge walked over to Fang Yu. "What are you doing?"
Fang Yu turned around slowly, a flicker of surprise in her eyes as she looked at Chen Ge. She seemed to vaguely recognize his face.
"Excuse me, do you know…"
"I know Fang Yu. I'm her best friend. I'm here to take you to her."
Chen Ge answered too quickly, which startled Fang Yu. Although the girl had a poor memory, she wasn't foolish. She began to suspect Chen Ge might be a bad person.
"Looks like you've forgotten me again."
After a long bout of explanation, Fang Yu still didn't believe Chen Ge. She clenched her fists, turned her head, and ran off toward her residence.
Chen Ge couldn't help but sigh. All he could do was chase after her.
He understood Fang Yu, though. For an amnesiac, this world was a foreign place—one already filled with unease.
When they returned to Fang Yu's residential complex, the woman who had met Chen Ge before walked over. She approached with a warm, familiar smile, watching Chen Ge follow closely behind Fang Yu.
"Here for Fang Yu again?" The woman eyed Chen Ge with a peculiar look—much like a mother appraising a potential boyfriend for her daughter, with her own set of criteria.
"Ma'am, I may need to trouble you tonight." Chen Ge slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked up to Fang Yu. "Through my investigation, I've learned of a method that could restore Fang Yu's memories. I'd like to try it tonight."
"What method?"
"I can't say, but I can promise it will work."
"That's fine then. Come on upstairs—no point standing around outside." The woman ushered Chen Ge and Fang Yu to her apartment. The moment they stepped through the door, Fang Yu retreated into her own room. "This child… I'm afraid one day she'll end up forgetting herself."
"She won't." Chen Ge was genuinely curious about Fang Yu's condition. He desperately wanted to know what the world behind her door looked like. "Ma'am, I should tell you—I'm a psychotherapist. Tonight's treatment will require your cooperation."
"Just tell me what you need."
"Give me the key to Fang Yu's bedroom. The treatment begins at midnight."
The woman hesitated for quite a while before finally agreeing.
At the stroke of midnight, all the lights in the apartment went dark. Chen Ge slipped quietly into Fang Yu's bedroom and saw a Blood Door standing beside her bed.
Compared to the door beside Wu Sheng's bed, the one next to Fang Yu was nearly entirely covered in crimson. It barely looked different from a true Blood Door anymore.
Fang Yu was a light sleeper. After locking the bedroom door behind him, Chen Ge wasted no time and walked straight to the Blood Door.
When he reached for the door handle, something utterly unexpected appeared before him.
