"Hey, don't tell me you're that petty?"
"Forget it, since you saved Little Radish, you don't have to change your name." Chili pursed her lips and said.
"I'm not angry, I just really don't like noise." Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Sigh, you're a grown man, how can you be so petty? Fine, I'll admit I was wrong earlier — is that good enough?"
"Besides, if you really don't like noise, I just need to set up a sealing barrier, and it'll block out all sound and sight. Everything outside will have nothing to do with us." Chili crossed her arms and continued, fully convinced that Chu Feng was upset.
"Oh, Brother Chu Feng, getting this little Chili to apologize to someone isn't easy. Give her some face and come over. I also brought plenty of fine wine and food — we can have a proper drinking session." Big Radish chimed in as well.
"Right, Benefactor, come rest over there with us." At the same time, Little Radish also spoke up to persuade him.
"In that case, sure." As the saying goes, such hospitality is hard to refuse. Under these circumstances, Chu Feng couldn't very well turn them down again.
And so, Chu Feng followed Big Radish and the other two into the sealed barrier room to rest.
True to her word, Chili sealed off the barrier room, blocking out not only sound but even sealing the windows shut.
"Wow, Senior Sister Chili's barrier arts are truly amazing! I'm so envious. I really want to become a Spirit World Master too." Little Radish said with a look of admiration.
"If you want to learn barrier arts, I have a method — I can forcibly inject Mental Power into you."
"But I'd advise you to focus on martial cultivation. It's better to dedicate yourself to one path rather than splitting your focus between barrier arts and martial cultivation."
"If it weren't for the fact that I, back then, was just like you — fascinated by the wondrous abilities of Spirit World Masters and insisted that my mother inject Mental Power into me so I could learn barrier arts — my cultivation level wouldn't be merely that of a Rank Nine Martial King."
"If I had focused solely on martial cultivation back then instead of grinding away at barrier arts, I'm not bragging, but I'd at least be a half-emperor by now." Chili said, patting her chest proudly.
"Chili's right. You can't serve two masters at once — focus on martial cultivation." Big Radish also advised.
"But that Chu Feng cultivates both martial arts and barrier arts, doesn't he? Not only is his cultivation remarkable, he's also a Snake-pattern Royal-clothed Spirit World Master." Little Radish said, pouting his big lips.
"Can you compare yourself to Chu Feng? A genius like Chu Feng is one in ten thousand — no, one in hundreds of millions." Chili said.
"Tch…" Little Radish curled his lips. Thoroughly discouraged, he didn't want to dwell on the topic any longer.
After that, Big Radish brought out the wine and food he had brought along and laid out a lavish banquet for Chu Feng. Perhaps out of gratitude, he insisted on drinking with Chu Feng until they were completely wasted.
Seeing Big Radish and Chu Feng drinking merrily, Little Radish joined in on the fun. But Chu Feng was now impervious to all poisons — no matter how strong the alcohol, how could it possibly get him drunk?
As a result, in the end, both Big Radish and Little Radish ended up dead drunk. The alcohol seeped into their Dantians and even affected their essences. If Chu Feng hadn't secretly intervened to help, their bodies would have suffered real damage.
But even so, the two of them fell into a deep sleep — and a sound one at that.
This left only Chili and Chu Feng alone in the sealed barrier room.
Chili was naturally talkative, and now without Big Radish and Little Radish to converse with, she was practically bursting.
