After a period of travel, Chu Feng and the others finally arrived at the Lower Realm of Bitter Sea.
Along the way, Chu Feng had already learned that the Spirit World Master they were looking for was a monk with the dharma name Yiku.
In a temple, Chu Feng finally met this Spirit World Master named Yiku.
He was a frail, extremely elderly monk.
Upon learning that Lord Yuwei had been injured, he immediately began setting up a healing formation and even produced exceedingly rare medicinal herbs.
Before setting up the formation, Chu Feng had explained the circumstances of Lord Yuwei's injury.
Before the healing could begin, Chu Feng needed to make sure Yiku understood the potential consequences of treating Lord Yuwei.
Though Chu Feng knew the monk would likely help—after all, as long as the matter didn't get out, no one would know he had treated Song Yuwei—one thing had to be made clear before proceeding: Yiku needed to know the truth.
But upon hearing the full story, the elderly monk Yiku declared that Lord Luoyi had once saved his life, and that his very existence belonged to Lord Luoyi.
Though Lord Luoyi was no longer around, he had never forgotten that debt of gratitude.
He was well aware of the relationship between Lord Yuwei and Lord Luoyi.
Not only did the Situ Spirit World Gate not know about the healing—even if they had told him explicitly that treating Lord Yuwei would cost him his life, he would still do it.
As expected, this elderly monk Yiku, much like City Lord Liang, was a man who valued loyalty and honor above all else.
One could see that Chu Feng's grandmother, Song Luoyi, had good judgment—at the very least, everyone she had ever helped was someone who repaid their debts.
However, Lord Yuwei's injuries were far too severe.
Even after the elderly monk Yiku's best efforts, all he could do was halt the deterioration of Lord Yuwei's condition.
At this point, the healing had stopped, and Yiku, City Lord Liang, and Chu Feng gathered together.
"Situ Tingye's methods were far too cruel. Lord Yuwei is still alive, but in truth, her soul has been nearly torn apart."
"He did it on purpose—he wanted Lord Yuwei to die in agony."
"Fortunately, Young Master Chu Feng acted in time. Otherwise, even I would not have been able to preserve Lord Yuwei's life."
The elderly monk Yiku said.
"That is certainly true."
"Though Young Master Chu Feng is only at the ninth level of the Dragon Transformation realm, his mastery of barrier arts is unlike anything I have ever seen."
Speaking of this, City Lord Liang couldn't help but offer his praise.
This was no flattery—it was heartfelt admiration, for he had personally witnessed just how dire Lord Yuwei's condition had been that day.
He had also seen with his own eyes how Chu Feng had treated her injuries.
"Senior Yiku, will Lord Yuwei's injuries fully heal?"
Chu Feng asked with concern.
"Young Master Chu Feng, this old monk cannot guarantee that Lord Yuwei will recover completely. However, I can guarantee that her life will be preserved."
"As for when Lord Yuwei will awaken, that I cannot promise."
At this point, the elderly monk Yiku turned his gaze toward Chu Feng.
"City Lord Liang, to continue Lord Yuwei's treatment, we will need additional materials. To activate the healing formation and observe Lord Yuwei's condition, this old monk cannot leave for the time being."
"So I must trouble City Lord Liang to make the trip on this old monk's behalf."
As he spoke, the elderly monk Yiku handed City Lord Liang a piece of paper and a Universe Bag.
The paper listed the materials he needed and the locations where they could be purchased.
"Brother Yiku, there's no need for this—otherwise it would seem too formal."
City Lord Liang accepted the paper but tried to return the Universe Bag, as it contained the payment needed to purchase the materials.
"Very well then."
The elderly monk Yiku didn't fuss about it and simply accepted.
"City Lord Liang, let me accompany you."
Chu Feng said.
