"Small thing may be tiny, but your speed is quite impressive. You're no Emperor-level spiritual bug — what exactly are you? Another treasure that Chu Feng pulled out of nowhere?" the Yin Yang Immortal asked, addressing Little Red.
"Don't you dare hurt Master, or I'll bite you to death."
"I'm poisonous, you know. One spit of mine and you'll be reduced to ash." Little Red spoke with a fierce look on its face.
"Ha ha ha ha ha…" At that moment, the Yin Yang Immortal burst into laughter. At first, he simply found it amusing that even a tiny insect would dare speak to him in such a manner.
But before long, his laughter began to twist into fury, and by the end, storms raged and the very weather shifted in response to his emotions. Suddenly, he pointed the Ancient Crocodile Body-Breaking Saber at Little Red and roared:
"A measly bug dares spout such arrogant nonsense to me? Do you really think I, the Yin Yang Immortal, am so easy to bully?"
"I don't care. You try to hurt Master, and I'll fight you to the death if I have to." Yet Little Red showed no fear of the Yin Yang Immortal whatsoever. It was remarkably defiant, as though it had already seen past life and death itself.
"Fine then. I'll just kill you all together — send you to your graves as one." In his violent rage, the Yin Yang Immortal was about to strike.
BOOM—
But just then, a tremendous crash echoed from the rocky cliff face not far away.
"Hm?" The Yin Yang Immortal immediately turned toward the sound and saw that a massive gap had appeared in the distant cliff wall. Countless chunks of rock tumbled downward, and from within the cavern, he could sense a peculiar aura — though upon closer inspection, he couldn't spot a single person.
"Yin Yang Immortal — did you hurt Chu Feng?" Just then, a voice suddenly came from below.
The Yin Yang Immortal looked down, and his eyes flashed with surprise.
Because below him, there was not only the unconscious Chu Feng and the furious Little Red — there was also a young woman.
She had golden hair cascading over her shoulders and was strikingly beautiful. In particular, her pair of eyes were exquisite beyond measure. But at this very moment, what those eyes radiated was pure, unbridled fury — and a thick killing intent.
"Princess Miaomiao — what are you doing here?" The Yin Yang Immortal was genuinely shocked to see Xian Miaomiao. He not only recognized her but had met her on several occasions. The two were, to some extent, acquainted.
"It was you who hurt Chu Feng, wasn't it?" Xian Miaomiao asked again, the killing intent in her eyes growing ever denser.
"Heh heh…" Suddenly, the Yin Yang Immortal laughed. Seeing the killing intent intensifying in Xian Miaomiao's eyes, he truly found it comical.
"So it seems you have something going on with this Chu Feng as well. An Ancient Elf wanting to ride Chu Feng's coattails — hoping to cling to this great tree before it's even fully grown?"
"Ha ha ha ha, how entertaining." The Yin Yang Immortal laced his words with cold mockery.
"I'm asking you — did you hurt Chu Feng or not?" Xian Miaomiao asked yet again, her tone razor-sharp.
"Princess Miaomiao, your cultivation has certainly progressed quickly. A Fifth Rank Martial Emperor already?"
"But what a pity — even if you are a Fifth Rank Martial Emperor with the combat power to fight four ranks above your level, you still can't do a thing to me."
"After all, this old man is a Sixth Rank Martial Emperor, with the combat power to fight three ranks above mine. So don't put on that lofty air as though you could kill me whenever you pleased." The Yin Yang Immortal's voice dripped with sarcasm.
WHOOSH—
But just then, Xian Miaomiao's hand shot up. A streak of cold energy swept across in a flash, and with a sickening *pfft*, the Yin Yang Immortal's arm — the one gripping the Ancient Crocodile Body-Breaking Saber — was severed clean off.
"AAAGH—"
