Chapter 660: This Extraordinary Ability is Very Strong (Asking for Monthly Tickets)

January 17, 2020 · 6 min read · 1,110 words

On the *Future*, Anderson Hood pressed his hands against the ship's railing, watching the tide of undead surging from the "Pitch-black Sea" recede like a flood as they scrambled and trampled over each other to return to the rear deck of the *Black Tulip*. He watched Gehrman Sparrow press down on his hat with his right hand and descend from the sky, landing steadily opposite the "Hell Admiral," Ludwell.

This scene, illuminated by either crimson or sinister green light, against the backdrop of vengeful spirits, wraiths, and various bizarre creatures of the Spirit World, possessed an indescribable beauty.

Cool! Truly the craziest adventurer... Anderson praised wholeheartedly, then immediately thought of something else:

Before flying over, Gehrman Sparrow seemed to have thrown a charm in front of him, and even deliberately demonstrated the opening incantation!

Does he mean... Anderson Hood's gaze moved downwards, discovering the white-tin charm at his feet.

On the *Black Tulip*, Klein, whose body was slightly hunched and whose gaze was locked onto the enemy, was not as cold and calm inside as he appeared on the surface.

"Anderson, hurry up and fly over here with that charm! I probably can't handle this alone, this is even very dangerous..." With the silver mask and two pale flames reflected in his eyes, Klein silently prayed this prayer to himself.

Because of the existence of those mysterious eyes watching the deck and watching him, and because of the "Opener of the Door" in the depths of the dream world that Anderson Hood had mentioned, he cautiously abandoned the option of immediately praying to himself and then responding from Above the Gray Fog with the "Sea God Scepter," warning himself not to expose this matter unless he was in a hopeless situation.

He believed that "Creeping Hunger" plus the "Ember" gloves plus the various extraordinary abilities of the "Magician" plus the different charms from the "Sea God Domain" could give him the strength to fight the "Hell Admiral," Ludwell, and the attractiveness of Azik's Copper Whistle to undead and Spirit World entities leaning towards the domain of necromancy could help him neutralize the most powerful technique of the "Powerful Medium" — for a Sequence 5 of the Death pathway, as long as the necessary limits are not exceeded, facing a certain number of mid-sequence enemies always meant fighting outnumbered!

However, Klein did not think that under these circumstances he would definitely be able to win against the "Hell Admiral," Ludwell, let alone kill him. Firstly, the main battlefield was on the *Black Tulip*, and referencing the "Star Admiral's" use of the *Future*, any sensible person knew the situation wasn't optimistic. Secondly, the "Hell Admiral," Ludwell, was currently the most senior pirate admiral, backed by two major forces: the "King of the Five Seas" and the "Church of the Dead." The magical items and even Sealed Artifacts on him were not inferior to Klein's, perhaps even surpassing them. Moreover, many rumors pointed out that he possessed an ancient ring left behind by the God of Death!

On top of his own Sequence indeed being lower than the "Hell Admiral," Klein felt no excitement about an impending successful hunt or further acting as the crazy adventurer. Instead, he was inwardly tense and focused, not daring to be careless, only hoping that the misfortune-plagued "Strongest Hunter" would fly over as soon as possible.

Only by joining forces with someone of the same caliber could they have a good chance of defeating or at least holding back Ludwell, who had lost his undead army, buying time and space for the "Star Admiral," Cattleya, and her pirates to deal with the patchwork monsters!

As the thought flashed through his mind, Klein launched his attack without hesitation, letting the "Toxic Mist" stolen by the "Ember" gloves rapidly spread outward.

No one could tell how much turmoil and worry was in his heart.

The "Hell Admiral," Ludwell, in his exaggerated tricorn hat and silver mask, raised his left fist, which had been tightly clenched all along, opened his fingers, and aimed his palm at Klein.

In an instant, the foredeck was shrouded in shocking yellow-green mist, while in front of Ludwell, an illusory light first burst forth, then, taking a point as its center, rapidly spun and collapsed inwards, constructing a slightly blurry pair of bronze double doors.

The surface of these bronze doors was covered in all sorts of mysterious patterns, possessing an indescribable feeling of depth and deathly stillness.

With a creak, the doors shook and a crack split open.

Behind the crack was an impenetrable, boundless darkness, like the deepest, most profound night sky.

Pairs of indescribable eyes were hidden in that deep darkness, densely packed everywhere, yet their specific forms could not be seen.

Bloody arms without skin stretched out, green-black vines with protruding infant faces extended out, palms with split mouths full of teeth grabbed outwards. They screamed, laughed, cried, and shouted, eagerly grasping at everything outside.

This brought forth a terrifying suction force. An icy hurricane, cold enough to freeze one's marrow, rose from nowhere, pushing everything towards those bizarre entities, towards the crack in the bronze doors!

The yellow-green "Toxic Mist" was instantly cleared. Klein involuntarily leaned forward, stumbling and staggering.

The glove on his left palm instantly turned pitch black, possessing both the eerie evil of the night and the nobility of the starry sky.

Klein's brown eyes deepened, filled with darkness. He stretched out his left arm and made a "please" gesture.

The terrifying suction sweeping the foredeck suddenly changed direction, "grabbing" skeletons and rotting corpses heading towards the rear deck one by one, throwing them into the crack in the doors, letting them be entangled by the green-black vines with infant faces, embraced by the bloody arms, and dragged towards the area behind the bronze doors filled with countless eyes.

"Twist"!

The "Twist" of the "Corruption Baron"!

Klein "twisted" the target of the mysterious doors, replacing himself with the skeletons and corpses on the *Black Tulip*.

But even so, he was still affected by the residual force of the massive suction, making it hard to move and preventing him from leveraging his agility and speed.

His peaked cap was blown away by the hurricane, spinning in the air, floating and following the undead being sucked in ahead.

At this moment, the "Hell Admiral," Ludwell, in his exaggerated tricorn hat, raised his right arm again and extended his palm forward.

The right side of his upper body rapidly became illusory, seeming to belong to ghosts and vengeful spirits. His upper arm and forearm continuously elongated, instantly crossing a considerable distance, and his pale palm grabbed towards the enemy.

Woo!
