The Divine Plane of Light. Deep within the vast God Prison Sea, there lay a secluded little island—Jade Flower Island.
The island spanned merely a few dozen miles, yet for countless ages, the bandit forces in its surroundings had formed an unspoken consensus: no matter what, one must never approach this island! Over the ages, anyone who had dared disturb the tranquility of Jade Flower Island—unless they were old acquaintances of the island's master—had mostly perished.
"Rumble~~"
Above Jade Flower Island, the wind surged and clouds gathered in an instant. A tremendous energy coalesced in the sky, and dozens of figures immediately flew out from the island. Leading them was a male, with the rest all being women. The man at the front wore a white robe, his golden hair hanging loose. His mustache curled in the same arch as his eyebrows, and his gaze was deep and cold.
The energy in the sky condensed into a human figure—none other than the Lord of Light!
"Greetings, Lord." The white-robed, golden-haired man bowed slightly.
"Lord." The women all dropped to their knees in prostration.
Yet the Lord of Light wore a smile on his face as he walked straight toward the white-robed man. "Clement, I've come today because there is an important matter I need you to handle."
The white-robed man's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Something you yourself cannot accomplish, Lord? How could a mere Highgod like me possibly succeed?"
"Hear me out," the Lord of Light said with a smile. Yet inwardly, he still harbored some displeasure. These Perfected Highgods were all insufferably arrogant. Most refused to serve as Chief God Emissaries. And even those who did were reluctant to carry out tasks readily. That Lin Lei was prideful, and though this Clement was his own Chief God Emissary, he wasn't easy to command either!
Perfected Highgods were, without exception, figures who had reached the absolute pinnacle.
Many of them harbored some resentment toward Chief Gods in their hearts: What's so special about Chief Gods? They just got lucky and obtained Chief God Sparks!
As such, Perfected Highgods rarely obeyed Chief Gods blindly. When Lin Lei had faced the Lord of Light's relentless pressure, his final eruption of fury and those defiant words—none of the surrounding Chief Gods found it strange. After all, Lin Lei too was Perfected. If he had submitted meekly from beginning to end, only then would he have been looked down upon.
The Lord of Light detailed the matter of the Sovereign Token to Clement at length.
"You understand how things transpired," the Lord of Light said with a smile. "Now, the Crimson Rhombus Diamond is very likely in the 'Occhan Material Plane.' In a Material Plane, we Chief Gods from outside cannot enter. So, the contest for the Sovereign Token in the Occhan Material Plane will depend entirely on you! The strongest among gods are naturally the Perfected Highgods... You understand what I mean?"
"I understand."
Clement nodded, yet he did not volunteer.
The Lord of Light secretly scoffed, though his face remained wreathed in smiles. "If you succeed, it will be a great merit. I cannot bestow another Chief God Artifact upon you, but I shall grant you ten thousand drops of Light Chief God Power..." Seeing no change in Clement's expression, it was clear Clement had no shortage of Chief God Power.
But the Lord of Light could not directly bestow Chief God Artifacts either.
"These ten thousand drops of Light Chief God Power, I can give to you right now. If you fail, so be it. But if you succeed in obtaining the Crimson Rhombus Diamond—once you hand it over to me—I shall then grant you ten thousand drops of Chief God Power from each of the other elemental systems. How does that sound?" the Lord of Light said with a smile.
"Rest assured, Lord. I will do everything in my power to seize the Crimson Rhombus Diamond." Clement bowed repeatedly.
"Mm." The Lord of Light finally smiled with satisfaction. "When you go to the Occhan Material Plane, if you don't have enough manpower, go directly to the teleportation array and mobilize a thousand Highgods to accompany you."
"Yes!" Clement said respectfully. "Then I shall depart immediately."
In a Material Plane, Chief Gods from outside simply could not enter. Though so many Chief Gods were eager, they could only send Perfected Highgods one by one, each leading large parties to the Occhan Material Plane. In the struggle within a Material Plane, it all depended on the gods! Chief Gods could only wait outside for news.
The Occhan Plane, in terms of overall size, was comparable to the Yulan Continent Plane.
However, over ninety-nine percent of the Yulan Continent Plane's area was ocean! The Southern Sea in particular spanned a thousand, even ten thousand times the area of the Yulan Continent. But the Occhan Material Plane was different. In the Occhan Plane, more than half its area was land!
The Occhan Plane had two vast continents.
They were the Misty Continent and the Beast God Continent! Each of these continents spanned over a hundred million miles. Beyond these two continents lay only endless ocean.
In the Occhan Plane, the Misty Continent was ruled by humans, while the Beast God Continent was ruled by beastmen.
Within the Misty Continent, there was a terrifying forest spanning over ten million miles—the Misty Forest!
The age of the Misty Forest was so ancient it could no longer be verified. Its expanse was so vast that many human adventurers who ventured deep into it could spend an entire lifetime without crossing to its far edge. Legend had it that deep within the magnificent Misty Forest, besides countless magical beasts, there were also many ancient races—such as Elves, Fairies, Dwarves, and Mountain Giants.
Deep within the Misty Forest, Mount Wessel stood as the tallest peak, reaching a height of over a hundred thousand meters.
Atop Mount Wessel's summit were no fewer than eleven enormous teleportation arrays. Besides these arrays, there was only a simple courtyard built from massive stone blocks. The Occhan Plane's Planar Guardian resided here.
"Nine hundred more years, and my duty of guarding this Occhan Plane will be over." A tall, thin man with two azure horns growing from his head stood atop the summit, gazing out over the boundless Misty Forest. With casual ease, he could see two enormous magical beasts in the distance roaring and battling each other.
Stone shattered, ancient trees trembled and snapped—the two powerful magical beasts fought with frenzied ferocity.
An Iron Feather Azure Eagle was quietly perched on a ten-thousand-year-old tree, secretly observing the scene, apparently waiting for its chance to strike when both beasts had worn each other down.
"It's only been three years, and this kid has already fused with the Magic Crystal Core of an eighth-level magical beast, the Iron Feather Azure Eagle. Looks like he's reached the eighth-level Druid realm. He should count as one of the top experts of his tribe's younger generation." The tall, thin man watched the scene with an amused smile.
Bored from his duties as Planar Guardian, he had grown quite familiar with the eight Elven tribes in the vicinity.
Among the Elves, some could become Druids.
