"He really doesn't know his own limits!"
Lei Lin glanced down at the two corpses of Sadista, then waved his hand. Two beautiful tongues of flame drifted down gently like flowers, and the moment they touched the surface of the two bodies, the corpses absorbed the flames like sponges soaking up water.
"Hssss~~" In just a few seconds, both corpses had turned to ash. The space ring flew into Lei Lin's hand.
"Coming from Hell—there should be something pleasant in here." He pocketed the ring.
Lei Lin knew that Hell was one of the four Great Sovereign Realms. Countless god-level powerhouses gathered in the Sovereign Realm of Hell, one of the four most prosperous planes among the infinite dimensions. Compared to it, the Gobada Planar Prison was nothing but a barren, dried-up desert. Lei Lin's strength might surpass Sadista's, but in terms of treasures and wealth, he probably couldn't hold a candle to someone who hailed from Hell.
The treasures within the Tomb of the Gods were enough to make countless powerhouses jealous—and enough to attract the covetous eyes of powerful families in the Sovereign Realm of Hell. The fact that Sadista had been dispatched by his family to the Yulan Continent plane to compete for the treasures spoke volumes. He was clearly one of the elites of his family, and even among Highgods, he was considered one of the more formidable ones.
He possessed two Highgod clones—Darkness and Wind! In the Laws of Darkness, he had fused three profound mysteries into one.
Such strength was nothing to scoff at.
Yet before Lei Lin, the master of Bronze Gong Mountain, Sadista had lasted only a single exchange. Both of his clones were destroyed in an instant, and from that moment on, he perished—vanishing from the face of the world.
But before his fall, when Sadista had unleashed his ultimate technique, space itself had twisted and collapsed. Especially when he realized Lei Lin was no ordinary opponent and had gone all out without holding back, the resulting commotion had been enough to alarm every powerhouse across the Yulan Continent.
"What an incredibly powerful aura!"
Several Midgods concealed across the Yulan Continent felt the heart-stopping energy fluctuations rippling from the west.
"Who is that?" Inside the imperial palace of the Yulan Empire, a handsome brown-haired youth's expression shifted slightly as he turned his gaze westward. "Such a terrifying aura—the very space is trembling violently. The energy fluctuations are far too intense. It has to be a Highgod-level powerhouse."
This brown-haired youth was none other than Orsop, the Midgod who had occupied the Yulan Empire.
Orsop was considered a formidable figure even among Midgods within the Gobada Planar Prison.
"Could it be two Highgods fighting each other?" Orsop was puzzled. "But on the Yulan Continent plane, aside from Lord Belut, the only Highgod is Adkins. Surely Lord Adkins wouldn't be foolish enough to fight Lord Belut?"
To this day, Orsop had no knowledge of Sadista's or Lei Lin's existence.
His pupils contracted slightly, and a knot of unease formed in his gut. "So it seems the Yulan Continent has more Highgod powerhouses than just Adkins and Belut. There are others." Orsop found himself warring with indecision.
If the Yulan Continent already had several Highgods, then even if he entered the Tomb of the Gods, how many treasures could he actually obtain?
In the O'Brien Empire, Adkins—who had been watching several palace maids dance—felt his expression shift as he too looked toward the west.
"Hmm?"
"That's a Highgod!"
Without a moment's hesitation, Adkins sent his divine sense surging westward like a tidal wave. In an instant, it blanketed the western region of the Magic Beast Mountain Range, and Bronze Gong Mountain naturally fell within its scope. When Adkins probed the area, he let out a surprised grunt. "How is there not a single Highgod present?"
Yet he did discover the devastated peaks, the ruined trees and flowers.
"Devouring? A Highgod who practices the Laws of Darkness!" From the residual aura lingering at the battlefield, Adkins made his judgment.
"Those energy fluctuations just now—two Highgods must have been fighting. A single Highgod wouldn't just vent aimlessly out of boredom. Or... this matter might involve that Highgod from the Luo'ao Empire." Adkins' mind churned with suspicion.
The incident inevitably reminded him of Sadista.
When Sadista had first arrived on the Yulan Continent plane, Adkins had detected his existence during a sweep of his divine sense and had been keeping tabs on him ever since.
In terms of strength, Adkins was no weaker than Sadista.
He extended his divine sense further, covering the entirety of the Luo'ao Empire. "That Highgod's aura from the Luo'ao Empire—it's gone?" Adkins spread his divine sense across the entire Yulan Continent, save for the metal castle where Belut resided. "He's not here. He's not on the Yulan Continent at all."
"What exactly happened?" Adkins' brow furrowed.
"Could it be... that the Luo'ao Empire's Highgod is dead?" Adkins' heart lurched. Though he feared Sadista not at all, he still recognized that Sadista was not to be trifled with. And such a powerhouse had simply... vanished.
"Bronze Gong Mountain had only four people—one was Lin Lei and that God-Eater Mouse, and the other two were Midgods. Those two Midgods should be people from the City Lord's residence in Greenfire City. I remember." Adkins deliberated carefully.
That Lei Lin's 'brothers' Burgis and the others had been there didn't surprise him in the slightest. After all, once a passage to the outside world opened, anyone and everyone would scramble to escape—even if they had once served the City Lord's residence, arriving on the Yulan Continent plane was perfectly normal.
"Something doesn't feel right." Adkins frowned.
"Lord Adkins." Bernas spoke softly from beside him.
Adkins turned to look at Bernas, steadied himself, and said, "Bernas, come with me to the west."
